It was day ten, when Olivia realized how precious time really was.
I don't know where I was going with the first line, but I had to start day ten off really random.
Why not use the character from my book?
By the way my book is coming along. I finished chapter....Drum roll please...Chapter ten!
Some days I just wrote and wrote. Before I knew it I had three chapters written. Then the next day a two more chapters were written.
There were some days where I only wrote a little bit. I wrote one scene. Then the next day I built up on it.
I do need to maybe go back and fix a few areas.
I'm trying to decide if I should do that now or fix/revise it when I am done with the story completely.
I am leaning more towards when the story is done to do it.
This way the story is actually done and it is complete, but editing needs to be done. Editing can be fixing certain errors, taking parts away, and adding to it.
Editing can come last.
Now I know some people actually edit as they go. They will write a few chapters, then go back and look at them.
Edit as they go.
It isn't a bad idea, but at the same time it will take a long time to finish it.
Okay, not necessarily true.
In some cases though, it can be true.
Well moving along to the quote by Ayn Rand.
It is a short quote, but despite it being short it sends a message.
You don't have to read between the lines with the quote.
I don't think.
Reading it, it is comparing words to a lens.
Why?
There could be multiple reasons why.
To me, when words are said or read we focus on them. We focus on them like a lens focuses your sight to help you see. A lens helps you so you can focus on a certain area or object. When it comes to words, your mind seems to focus on them. We feel all kinds of emotions when words are said or read.
Words can touch you emotionally. They can make you sad. They can make you happy. They can make you angry.
Yes people say the words, but it's not the person that makes you focus. It's the words they say.
We focus on what is said. Sometimes it depends on the person saying it and sometimes it doesn't matter who says it. Words are said every day and every day we take them with us.
Some words are closer held to our hearts and minds than others.
Some are simple not thought of at all.
Actions may speak louder than words, but really actions back up what you said.
Saying anything is one intake and can mean nothing if you don't show some sort of action to back them up.
This doesn't necessarily mean that words have no meaning whatsoever.
They have meaning. It is in how we take the words.
What were the meaning of the words said to us?
To me?
To you?
Actions can hurt.
Words can hurt.
Actions can cause physical pain or emotional pain.
Words cause emotional pain. It is what it mostly deals with.
Emotional pain.
People use words to bully, to tease, to make people happy, to make people sad, to make people hurt.
Words can be your worst enemy or your best friend.
We use words daily by opening our mouths to say 'good morning', 'good night' and anything else we want to say.
It is all in how we form words into sentences that bring out the emotion in us.
If you think about it than words are just as important as actions because without them how would we communicate?
Let's be honest some of us aren't good at charades.
I applaud those who are.
I am not extremely bad at charades, but I'm not good at it either.
Sometimes you don't know how to explain what you want to say without words. You need words to help you explain it. To help you explain what you want to say in any language.
I'll end it here.
This could go on forever if I just continue and then I'll run out of words to actually put down. I can imagine myself grabbing a dictionary and writing down every word in the dictionary just to write it down...
That would be interesting.

Okay enough of that.
Foreword to the quote:
"Don't try to figure out what other people want to hear from you; figure out what you have to say. It's the one and only thing you have to offer."
