I heard him chuckled kaya hinarap ko siya. I was able to compose myself infront of him.
His tantalizing blue eyes seeped through my soul that somehow it made a lump in my throat. But I did not buckle down. Bagkos, pinantayan ko ang titig niya.
"Do you need anything?" Malamig kong tanong.
"I see, your wrath is still not over yet." He chuckled again.
My wrath? Which one? The 15 years ago? Oh darling, yes hindi pa kita napapatawad.
Napataas ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya. I was happy that he could see that in me. And yes, I may not have the heart to avenge at him, pero kaya kong iparamdam sa kanya na hindi ko siya gustong makasama kung hindi lang niya talaga kailangan ang tulong ko.
I scoffed at him at tinalikuran na siya. Pinagpatuloy ko ang pagluluto at nagsalita rin siya ulit.
"You sure you want me to stay for the night here?" He asked.
Lumingon ulit ako sa kanya. "I have guest rooms here. You can use one. And yes I'm sure. I'm not as heartless as you are Dr. Sallvious." Sagot ko.
His smile faded and all was left was an emotion I can read. Sadness.
His eyes that were proud even if he felt that did not escape my sight. I know people when they're sad. And based on his reaction, he is.
I turned the stove off at naghain na mula sa kaldero na pinaglutoan ko ng sabaw. Pagkatapos ay inilapag ko sa mesa ang mangkok at nagsandok ng kanin mula sa rice cooker.
Nakatayo lang si Hadex at nakasandal sa countertop kung saan siya kanina, nandun lang siya pinapanood akong maghain at mag-ayos ng hapag.
I took out two plates and two pairs of untensils with two glasses as well. Nang nailagay ko ng maayos sa mesa, I went to get the sikwati at kumuha ng dalawang mug. Sinalinan ko ang mug ko at sa kanya rin.
Nang tapos na ako, umupo ako sa silya. He was still standing there not moving a muscle nor blinking his eyes kaya inaya ko siyang kumain.
"Umupo ka na. Kakain na tayo." Utos ko sa kanya.
It took him probably seconds bago nagsalita.
"You really fine with this, me in your house eating the meal you-"
"Kung ayaw mong kumain kasabay ako, I'll eat fast so you can eat." I cut him off at nagsimula ng kumain.
Sure I don't want him here, but I don't want to be rude. And he needs shelter for the night. Hindi pa kasi tumitila ang ulan. At nang malakas na kumulog, bahagyang napaigtad si Hadex at hinimas ang dibdib niya.
Binilasan ko ang pagkain ko dahil hindi talaga umupo si Hadex. He was just there standing while looking at me eating.
Nang tapos na akong kumain, hinugasan ko ang pinagkainan ko at ibinalik sa dish cabinet at umakyat na sa taas.
Pumasok ako sa kwarto at huminga ng malalim bago pumasok sa loob ng banyo para maligo.
