As I walked into the woods, it feels like Training all over again. They let me go into the woods for a practice drill and I ended up shooting deer. It was great fun, but I wasn't that entirely happy. I did the same thing when Dad and I went to his own private land. We would shoot animals for dinner, skip rocks at the lake, build campfires, and roast marshmallows.

I close my eyes and I sigh at the memory. For only a short time, I knew what being a kid was like. But then, it was taken from everybody. No laughing, no playing, no sweet scent of the flowers during the spring. No nothing. Everything is practically gone now. In the present, everyone cries. Everyone draws blood from one another. The flowers smell foul, just like the Infected.

My mind goes blank. What am I doing again? Oh I was going to hunt for food. I check my pistol for any ammo.

"Shit" I said,

I ran out by shooting the Infected at the campsite. Little did I know, I forgot my arrows at my cabin back at the Zone. My mind scatters with ideas about traps and homeade arrows. I climb up some trees and break off long twigs from the branches and start to make my creation.

After I was done making the arrows, I was pretty impressed with my hands, my pocket knife, and some feathers I found on the ground. I quickly run back and grab my bow and run back to where I was before. I look and see a buck just a few feet away.

I quietly make my way over to my custom made arrows and draw it back to aim. If I make the shot perfectly, the group and I will feast tonight. I relax my shoulders and let go. The arrow goes speeding off to the distance until reaching it's target, the Buck's brain. The deer makes an agonizing noise as I grab another arrow and draw it back and release it to it's heart.

The buck goes limp and stops breathing. I run over to the animal to see a metallic crimson red starts to pour out of the buck.

"Perfect" I said,

I grab the buck and started to drag it back to the campsite. When I got back, everyone was shocked at the size of the deer I just gotten.

"We thought you weren't going to get anything" Trevor said,

"Well I did. Shot it from a good distance away" I said, taking the arrows out of the places I shot it at.

"You need help cutting that up" Matthew said, taking out his knife

"Yea, after we're done, We continue our way to the train station" I said.

After cutting so many limbs for what seemed like hours, we packed it up in a duffel bag and continued to go up the path to Train Station.
