It was about at least 7:26 when we all got back to The Checkpoint. The guards, Stacy and Mickey, were delighted to see us all.

"Miss. Alice, we are very glad to see you!" Stacy said,

"It's great to see you guys as well. Can you guys do me a favor?" I asked,

"Sure." They both said,

"I like you guys to register my friend from #5672. His name is Chris." I said,

"Of course Miss. Alice. Chris please come with us" Mickey said, leading the way.

Chris walked with them while I got our stuff out of the truck. I'm tired after our long journey. Sitting in a car for 6 hours has made my back hurt. I tried to rub my shoulder blades, but failed to get rid of the pressure. I carried Chris' bag and my backpack to my Private Cabin. I opened the door and breathed in the scent. It smells like home. That's the way it's supposed to be.

I went to the Registration Center and saw Chris get his picture taken for his Pass. At first he made a silly face, but then the photographer told him to be serious. Chris nodded and let the photographer take his Pass picture. I giggled at how he was trying his best to stay serious. I went inside and waited with Chris for his pass. When he finally got his pass, they also gave him his new uniform.

At first he wanted to give it back to the lady but then he thought of being treated like an Outsider. He looked at me, and then back at the lady. He didn't make any remark to her. The lady gave him a smug ass look and walked away from us. When she was gone, I stuck up the middle finger and Chris lightly chuckled. We walked out of the Center and showed him where he was going to be sleeping.

At first, he thought that he was going to be sleeping in the Barracks, but he was sadly mistaken.

"They told me that I was going to sleep in the Barracks" He told me,

"Well, that lady has her head up her ass. You are going to sleep in my Cabin." I said,

"Are you sure? I don't want to take up much space." He said,

"You are not going to take up nothing, I have a double bed, so you don't need to be worrying about nothing babe" I said,

I look around and I see all of the soldiers looking at us.

"Get back to work!" I said, and everybody went back to doing their business. Chris just stood aside and didn't say anything. He was a bit shocked, but then again I am the leader. I show him around to all of the places that contain different courses of Training. Since he is experienced enough, he doesn't need a trainer and he isn't considered as a Soldier, he is considered as a Lieutenant. Even though we already have a Male Lieutenant, we can have another one.

"Alice!" I hear from behind me. I turn around and see Gabe with a huge grin in his face. As soon as he saw Chris, his grin went away. He ran over to me and gave me a hug. At first I was shocked, but then again, he didn't know that I was alive when I was on my journey.

"I'm so glad that your back Alice" Gabe said, finally letting go of me.

"Nice to see you too, how was everything while I was gone?" I asked,

"We finally fixed the radars in the Control Room, when it came on, it wasn't a good sight. Thousands of the Infected are coming this way to our boarder. I told the soldiers to train twice as hard and none of them gave me no lip about it." Gabe said,

"Oh I forgot to introduce myself, Lieutenant Gabriel Callahan. Nice to meet you" Gabe said, holding his hand out for Chris to shake.

"Hi, I'm Chris Dylan from #5672. Nice to meet you as well." He said, shaking Gabe's hand.

"Chris is our new Lieutenant. So please make sure that he feels comfortable here?" I said,

Gabe gave me an uneasy look, but he shrugged it off. "Ok Alice" He said, and then yawned.

"Well I'm off to bed, I've been training since 4 in the morning. Have a good night." Gabe said, walking off. He wasn't really tired, He was jealous. I knew he was jealous when he saw Chris and his smile went away. It didn't really matter to me. I have feelings for Chris, Gabe and I were just good friends.

"Chris, let's go get you settled in." I said, walking to my cabin. When we got there, Chris was in awe.

"Nice little cabin you got here" Chris said,

"Thanks, designed it myself when I first got it." I said, falling backwards onto my bed.

"Ah, feels great to be home" I said. Chris took his jacket off and laid down as well.

"It sure is" He said. I rested my head oh his chest while his thumb drew circles on my shoulder blade.

"I'm so glad that you're mine" He said,

"Me too" I said,

I felt the pressure in my shoulders slowly go away as he lightly rubbed my shoulder blades. I almost fell asleep in the process, wanting to stay awake to see what's in store next.

"Go to sleep baby" Chris said,

I didn't need to be told twice as the slumber caught me in it's invisible grasp as my eyes started to close.

"I love you baby, don't you dare forget that."
