Khinei's POV
"That's pretty much everything you need to know about Camp Half Blood." Jude said to me as we head to the armory. He explained to me every little thing about Camp Half Blood but i'm still not satisfied he even explained to me his interest with Iza ( i didn't asked for he info believe me) though i find it quite ... disturbing?
Anyways, the reason we're heading to the armory is because we're going to play a game called Capture the Flag wanna know how to play it? well basically you just have to ... capture the flag.
I got in my Greek Armor and to be honest its quite comfortable though it looks just like a ball of metal. Jude handed me a helmet and a sword, "Uhm what's the purpose of the sword and helmet,"
"Offense and defense." He said.
"Oh thanks for the wonderful info!" i said sarcastically.
He grinned at me then said, "Come on let's go don't wanna be late huh?"
I followed him out and we head to the arena which is the forest. I'm surprised to see a lot of campers there looking excited and talking to each other so that's maybe the reason they didn't notice us, but Iza, Nic, Elle and Percy noticed which just made me want to hide in a corner.
"Oh Khinei! You're born for Greek armor maybe you'll be my sister?" Nic asked once she reached us which just made me remember their conversation earlier so i just nod.
Iza, Nic and Elle seems to caught something on that nod but they didn't acknowledge it Percy on the other hand is giving me the cold shoulder so i decided to follow his lead.
After a few moments of awkward silence Chiron spoke, "Everyone i know you're all excited for the game so let's get started! But before we do this i wanna ask who wants to take Percy and Khinei in their group?" he said drawing the attention to us.
"I'll take Hades' son Percy!" a girl with short boyish red hair and black eyes stepped in front, "That's Kendy, one of the daughters of Ares, god of war." jude whispered to me.
"Makes sense she must have been really sweet to be named like that by her father" i whispered back.
"Then we'll take Khinei." Nic said stepping forward.
"All right then," Chiron said "Everyone get ready and let the games begin!"
*after a few moments*
I'm trying as best as i could to not get involved with the fighting for i was assigned to retrieve the flag which i guess is the most important job for a newbie.
"So far , so good." i muttered to myself since no one dared to challenge me but of course i've spoken to soon since somebody suddenly appeared in front of me his sword is raised ready to strike.
I reflexively lift my own sword to block it but he put so much force with his strike i was about to release the grip on my sword when somebody kicked him in the back knocking him out.
"Thanks," I said to Jude.
"No sweat now go get the flag i'll hold anyone who dares attack you." he said and started to fight another player.
I nod and started running. Soon i reached the lake I was so thirsty i kneeled down to drink the water when i noticed the flag. After a few sips i stood up and eagerly went to the flag's direction. Then an arrow whizzed by my head i turned around and surprise i saw Percy holding a bow looking ... guilty.
I gave him a dirty look (which i'm quite skilled at thank you very much) but he just continued looking guilty.
"Look Percy oh mighty son of Hades' , just let me take the flag you know i'm quite good at sword fighting too." i said jokingly with a shrug and raised my sword.
I saw the hint of a small smile in his face he opened his mouth to say something but someone said first, "You can't charm speak you're way out of this and if you want the flag badly you'll have to fight me."
I turned and saw Kendy holding a sword prepared to fight me.
I stared at her which made the effect i've been waiting for: annoyance.
"Very well, i won't take it easy on you." she said and charged at me.
I managed to block and dodge her moves for a while but i know i was losing for i keep taking a step back. Then i tripped! Which gave her the perfect opportunity to strike me giving me a very nice wound. Because of that my luck with dodging her moves ended and soon i was all bruised and wounded i fell down to my feet not bothering all the spectators around me and the way Percy looks at me worriedly.
"Oh are you done?" she asked with a mock sweet voice which made me sick if i could crush that face of hers i would, to bad my body doesn't want to move.
So i just closed my eyes trying to calm down even though i heard her laugh.
Calm sown try focusing all our powers to heal your wounds then your father will give you the ability to win just believe a voice in my head said. Since i have pretty much nothing to do i took the suggestion.
After a while i feel my wounds start to heal and the power it promised to me coursed through my veins.
I opened my eyes and stood up which caused gasps from everyone Kendy turned around to look at me her eyes wide.
"It's not yet done and now i could pretty much gurantee who is the winner." i said with a voice that doesn't seem mine.
Then lightning flashed. The wind howled. And the thunder roared...
