Khinei's POV
"Jr quickly give this to Percy." I said handing him the medicine Hermes gave me. I rushed in the corner to gather our supplies, prepared to make a run for it once Percy's awake which i hope will not take hours to happen.
Jr starts giving Percy the medicine when he asked me, "Where did you get this and what's the rush?"
"Hermes gave it to me he also told me monsters are on their way."i said helping him lift Percy up.
Jr (of course) looked surprise but he didn't asked for an explanation now, which suits me. I don't want to explain Hermes' visit and the advices gave me right now for any moment a monster might appear and we can't afford to lose any more time.
Percy starts stirring in my arms and soon his eyes opened, thank the gods.
"About time you got up from your sweet slumber MCI" I said trying to sound upbeat despite the situation.
"What does that mean?" he said a little dazed as he and i stood up.
"Monster-Charging-Idiot" i said.
He opened his mouth to say something probably a lame nickname for me as a comeback but i didn't heard it for the wall start crumbling down forming a big hole. dust filled the air but i willed the wind to blow it out, but as soon as i did it i immediately regretted it for i saw a Chimera, a three-headed monster, with the foreparts of a lion, the middle-parts of a goat and goat's head rising from its back, and a serpent-headed tail AND a Orthrus, a two-headed, serpent-tailed dog.
"Late." i muttered. I took out the bow and arrow i stole (excuse me) i mean borrowed from the camp prepared to make a shot at the slowly advancing monsters.
When i had a perfect shot at their eyes i released two arrows at the same time. Must've been beginner's luck for i hit them Bull's Eye.
They started growling and scratching their face to remove the arrow but that was enough distraction for me, i grabbed Percy and Jr's arm and together we ran for our lives.
*after a few seconds*
We hadn't gotten that far when the monsters reached us in the woods. Fortunately i made them blind, but, unfortunately, they're born with sick nose that could sniff its enemies out anywhere anytime.
"What are we going to do?" Jr asked me panic evident in his voice.
As much as i want to get swallowed by the ground (literally) i know i have to stay strong i am the one who dragged them int this mess so the least i could do is at least get them back to camp safe.
Percy seems to be thinking the same only with opposite roles for he took out his sword Riptide and charged at the two monsters. Seriously i don't regret calling him Monster-Charging-Idiot!
"Percy!" i called out for him. Thunder roared at the sound of my voice and i had an idea.
I closed my eyes and said a prayer to Zeus in my head, "Umm dad a little help?"
Then i feel the wind gather around me i opened my eyes and stared at the monsters as if eyeing a prey. i willed lightning to strike down at the Chimera for Percy is fighting with the Orthrus and i don't want he to be barbecqued although the idea is quite appealing.
Anyway something flashed inside of me and lightning went down from the sky to strike at the advancing Chimera. It hit it full blast and soon the Chimera is nothing but a pile of ashes.
I started to feel woozy after doing that but i know i had to do it again. Percy is still fighting the Orthrus so i charged at the Orthrus myself Jr following me behind.
I fired another arrow at the butt of the Orthrus causing it to turn in my direction and charged at me. As soon as i saw it leaving Percy i tried to will another lightning bolt down at the Orthrus but all i got is a splitting headache in response causing my body to be paralyzed.
I stared in horror as the Orthrus is only a few feet away from me. I knew i'm about to die and maybe when i went into heaven i could asked my father Zeus to protect Percy and Jr that is if they survive...
I tear fell down at my cheek and i braced myself for the attack but before that could happen a boy stepped in front stopping the Orthrus midair its mouths opened revealing its ... nice teeth.
I sighed with relief that i am not yet dead but the boy ...
"Use the necklace to call upon a pegasus!" Hermes said.
"But Hermes-" i started to say but he cut me off,"Do it now. i shouldn't interfering with this but i did and i'll be in serious trouble with your father so go before this sacrifice is worth nothing.
I nod surprisingly i my feet move so i reached Percy and Jr's direction. Jr is obviously crying but Percy's face is full of different emotions making him look quite comical but i didn't have the strength and time to tease him.
I held the necklace and said something very stupid, "Pegasus, come here boy?"
I was about to facepalm when the Pegasus appeared in front of us. I hesitated being the one to go first but as soon as the Orthrus escaped the spell or something like that Hermes put it i scrambled up the Pegasus so did Percy and Jr.
The Pegasus rose just in time as the Orthrus reached us. I sighed with relief as i saw that we had finally escaped it.
I looked around for Hermes only to find him gone...
