Khinei's POV
When we all gathered in the living room and checked that everyone is there Jeanne lead us down another exit out of the treehouse and down the tree.
Once our feet touch the ground Jeanne sprinted deeper in the woods. We followed her having no choice even though we barely know her.
"What are we running from?" I asked as i struggle to catch up with Jeanne who is quite a fast runner.
"The mother of all monsters, the Echidna." from the tone of her voice and the mention of the echidna (a half woman and half snake) we started running faster for i don't want to encounter another Snake-woman!
We kept running dodging trees and I have a feeling we're being chased and hissing seems to fill the air. I started to realize with dread that if we don't find a way to escape and kill the Echidna we'll be running we'll be running for the rest of our lives that is if Jeanne has a plan.
"Do you have a plan to escape her?" i asked as i started panting due to all the running.
"I'm thinking!" she said her voice with a hint of panic and desperation.
So being the stupid girl i am i took a risk. I stopped running and grabbed the winged necklace and focused real hard to call several Pegasus.
But before i could accomplish it something slippery grabbed my waist lifting me up real high. I looked back and saw that the Echidna's tail is the one holding me up. I instantly took out my sword and stabbed it's tail. It was quite surprised by what i did so it quickly released me causing me to fly towards a tree and hit me square in the back.
Now i know Percy's pain for for it hit my body.But i forced myself to stand up and look at what is happening.
Nic, Jude, Jr and Percy are fighting or maybe distracting the Echidna, while Jeanne and Iza are silently slipping away probably to get a good shot at the echidna. I saw Elle heading towards me.
"Are you all right Khinei?" she asked her voice and pretty face full of worry as she helps me up.
i didn't answered that for i am not in the mood to lie, i just took her hand and let her help me stand up.
Once i had stood u i looked at the others who are still fighting with the Echidna, then arrows and knives came out of nowhere injuring the Echidna square in the eye!
This caused it to turn at the direction where the arrows and knives came from so it could hit Jeanne and Iza but of course they are nowhere to be find. Which is good but the bad part? The Echidna's tail hit a very big tree just beside Percy causing it to start falling towards him.
The idiot just stared at it but i on the other hand got in action (xD). My eyes involuntarily flashed and a strong gust of wind carried Percy out of harm's way.
When i saw that Percy's fine i turned at the Echidna. I tried to will lightning down at it but since i'm wounded, tired and pretty much beaten up all that i summoned is an intense headache for me.
My eyesight starts getting fuzzy then i caught sight of Jr. i remembered something so i forced myself to run towards him trying to get his attention.
I managed to tap his shoulder and he looked at me one look in my eyes tells me he got the message for he started running trying to get the Echidna's attention.
"Percy!" i called out gesturing at Jr. When he saw what Jr's holding he nodded and tried to get the Echidna's attention by stupidly throwing his sword which just bounce off but manage to catch its attention. Once the Echidna turned around to face them Jr yelled, "Close your eyes!" we all did then hissing and screaching filled the air and after a while ... silence...
"You could open your eyes now guys." Jr said his voice with a hint of disgust. i opened my eyes and saw the Echidna turned into stone looking so disgusting. despite the fact that i am so disgusted i grinned like and idiot and almost kissed Medusa's head for we managed to defeat the Echidna.
I looked around to check if anyone's injured gladly no one is. But when i saw Jeanne her face is so crestfallen i asked why.
"That's not the real Echidna and i have a feeling the real one is coming soon! We have to get as far away as possible!" she said her voice slightly panicking.
Everyone of us are shocked by the news and panic starts rising but i said, "Guys don't worry i'll call on Pegasus to take us far away."
I took out the winged necklace and prayed for Pegasus luckily this time Pegasus came and we got in without hesitation
After a few minutes the pegasus starts flying low and eventually landed us on a island.
I started to tell the Pegasus this is not our stop but the pegasus acted like it didn't heard me. They just landed us and once we're all down it flew away.
"Great!" i said but started walking the first steps i made at the sands of the island i suddenly felt like i had been here before ... BUT that'e impossible right?? I couldn't have impossibly dreamed of it...
