Hermes' POV
This has got to be the worst daeyy in my whole life. And since i'm a god and could pretty much live forever that is saying a lot.
After hearing all those words come out of my son's mouth and watched him walked away i feel like i'm going to die. Artemis and Apollo noticed this and looked at me with pity. I turned away from their gazes to fin Khinei's body starting to move.
Since i technically just lost the trust of my son i only have Khinei or Arzeya there for me and if they both got away, i don't know what i will do.
I approached her and helped her sit up.Once she's comfortable she said to me her eyes half closed and her voice a little hoarse, "What the hell just happened?"
I flinched a little by her question but she doesn't seem to notice it. I decided to avoid her question for now and just settled with saying, "Are you all right?"
this apparently just made the situation worst for she stood up, quite quickly if i must say, and said with a voice that is definitely offended, "I'm all right!Now answer my question! What the fuck happened here? I remembered being kidnapped by Hera then-" She stopped midway as she starts observing her surrounding.
Rocks scattered on the floor, Nic, Elle, Jeanne, Joan, Percy and Jr are still unconscious there's a big hole in the wall and Artemis and Apollo are standing there looking at her waiting for her reaction. This all seemed a lot to take in for her for it took a minute until she respond by saying, "Okay... First question: Why are they unconscious?"
Nobody answered but she didn't seemed to mind the silence for the next questions followed, "What are we doing here? Why are Artemis and Apollo here? where are Iza and Jude? What is that big hole for? Is Hera dead."
I would like to tell you how i answered her question: I laughed. Yup, i laughed despite the situation. I really am losing my mind. Artemis looked at me with pity. Khinei and Apollo looked at me with disgust. My laughter seems to have awaken the others for they started moving and no sooner they were awake too. They also happened to have a lot of question and since i was unable to tell them what happened Apollo told them.
After Apollo has ended his "story" everyone is ... well, speechless. Soon Elle couldn't help but asked, "Iza's dead?"
Dead silence filled the air, nobody seems to want to answer her question for we don't know really.
Nic followed with a question of her own, "And Artemis, her mother, killed her?"
Another dead silence.
We all looked at Artemis and she just fucking shrugged and said, "She asked for it,"
That's enough to make Nic head to Artemis direction and grabbed the goddess by the neck. Nic glared at Artemis who in turn had a poker face on, "Why on earth will you kill your own daughter?"
Artemis didn't answered her question. Nic strangled her harder and soon Artemis had enough she dissolved into dust from Nic's grasped but teleported behind me.
"I did it for she asked for it. Besides it's quite ordinary for this things to happen, Arzeya, the goddess stucked within Khinei is killed by her mother Hera." Artemis said in monotone.
Nic looked like she really wanted to kill Artemis (which is suicide) but her expression changed when she heard the part about Khinei, Arzeya and Hera. she asked her voice really confused, "Khinei, your mother is Hera? the goddess that tried to kill you?"
"No!" Khinei immediately said her voice really angry. We all turned to look at her and she said, "She's the mother of Arzeya! this fucking goddess stucked inside of me! Hera wanted to kill her so she kidnapped me then..." she stopped for she suddenly started writhing with pain. Soon she is huddled in a ball on the ground.
"You shouldn't tell a goddess that she's fucking." Artemis said.
"I don't care she's the damn reason why we're on this mess in the first place. If it weren't for her Iza is still alive and Jude wouldn't help and all of this wouldn't have happened, and... and..." she muttered to herself but we could all hear her, she stopped writhing in pain, and said, "No, it's all my fault, guys i'm so sorry."
"It's not your fault," Percy said.
"It is." Khinei snapped her eyes glowing dangerously from a distant lightning flashed and soon thunder roared.
"Calm down Khinei." i told her.
"You have no right to tell me to calm down!" she said and this time she literally zapped somebody and that somebody is Elle. Elle screamed with pain and is soon lying down on the floor she too writhing in pain. Everybody gathered around her except for me, Artemis and Khinei.
I looked at Khinei and i could tell from her expression she really is very guilty, "I'm so- I'm so sorry Elle!"
"It's all right." Elle try to reassure her but from the way her voice is infected with pain you could pretty much tell nothing is all right.
Khinei faced down her face hidden by her hair she muttered but i could still hear her, "Why did Hera let me live? I'm betting death is much nicer than this."
I was by her side faster than the speed of light, "No you shouldn't be saying that." I said as i shake her.
"Why? You have no idea what i'm feeling right now." she said her voice monotone as she stare at me her eyes glassy.
"Yes, i don't. But i could pretty much tell you i'm feeling pain too, if i daresay much worse than yours." I said my voice breaking in the end as i remember every single thing Jude said,
She just stared at me and i know i hit something for she remained silent so i said, 'But remember we must keep going on, you still have to find your mother and Poseidon's son. This isn't just a simple mission anymore i have a feeling we might need them in the future to help you and Arzeya kill Hera and prevent her from being back Kronos."
Khinei just nodded. Even though she agrees i could tell from her expression i just lost another of my loved ones. Could anyone be more unluckier than me?"
Just wait there's another update coming up next to make up for this late update. Sorry if it's kinda a filler the next chapter will have more actions for they will soon be at the Lotus Casino and they will find Poseidon's Son!
