Khinei's POV
"Are you sure about this?" Percy asked for the hundred time.
I zipped my backpack shut and stood up to look at him, "I'm sure i HAVE to find mom and dad."
"Even if it means getting us into trouble with camp and possibly have our butts kicked by monsters?" he asked.
"Yes." i said though i feel quite nervous i manage to say that with confidence.
He stared at me for a while then said, "Okay i'll come with you."
"You don't have to," i said pushing him out of the door so i could step out and start walking before i even changed my mind.
"But i have to and i want to besides i've already packed." he said. I turned around to look at him and surprise he is holding a backpack.
"Okay whatever you say hothead." i said with a sigh and started walking.
He walked alongside me as we head to the gate but we're both quite until i heard some rustling in the bushes. I stopped walking and started panicking wondering that we have already been caught trying to sneak out and i might not have anymore chance on trying to save my mother and father.
But when the human or should i say goat-human stepped out of the shadows instead of fainting i smiled with relief.
"Oh, what are you guys doing out here." Jr asked really surprised as he went to give each of us a high 5.
"Umm we're planning on running away." i said.
He looked shocked for a minute but soon said, "Have you thought this through?"
"Yes, I have to save mom and dad" i said with a nod.
He nodded back and said, "Wait here." and he started running or galloping away.
I guess i should've run for Jr probably went to tell on us but i stayed and waited for him and when he returned with a backpack, let's just say i'm glad i waited for i really will need all the support and help i could get.
"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" Jr said, .I smiled with relief and stood up.
Then we continue on walking to the gate. after a while we reached it and i hesitated on stepping out but when i feel my friends staring at me i sighed and gather all my courage and stepped out.
They followed me of course then we raised down the hill. We almost reached the road and i thought in my mind So far so good there are no monsters attacking us.
But of course i spoke too soon for 5 minotaurs appear probably to get some revenge.
I admit i'm tempted to make run for the safe haven of camp but i have to survive if i want to reach my mother. So i took out my sword and foolishly charged the minotaur! Just Great!
