Percy's POV
Being a son of Hades i'm not particularly a fan of heights so that pretty much is half the reason why i was shaking (yeah i know very unmanly but you can't blame me!)
The half of the reason why i was shaking is because of all the things that just happened, let's review:
1.) We left Camp Half Blood which will probably cause Chiron to send out someone to retrieve us.
2.) Monsters keeps attacking us not to mention i almost got killed.
3.) We're about to head to Medusa's Lair
4.) Khinei's powers are scary and electrifying literally!
So yeah this is not one of my great days.
"Do you think we should ... land?" Khinei asked.
"Yes!" i immediately said which caused her to laugh at me.
"Whatever you say MCI." she said with a laugh as she veered the pegasus down.
"Stop calling me that!" i said as i hopped off the pegasus. Jr hopped off too and so did Khinei she whispered something to the pegasus who nuzzled her then flew away.
She turned back to me and said, "Only if you'll stop charging at monsters like an idiot!"
"I did it to protect you!" i insisted a little offended by what he said.
"Well i don't need protecting! And i don't want you to die because of me you idiot!" she said with so much sadness in her voice i didn't argue back.
I just turned my back around her and stiffly walked away towards a lake i spot.
I know its foolish to separate myself away from them after what just happened but i have to get my space or else i'm gonna go insane.
So when i head at the lake and saw that Jr and Khinei didn't follow me i sighed with relief and sat down.
I stared at my reflection in the water which remind me of my foolish acts so i told my reflection, "Why did you have to be a Monster-Charging-Idiot?"
My reflection just stared back at me, "Of course you did." When i realized just how stupid that was i decided to look away but the ground started shaking i almost lost my balance and fall at the water. Thankfully i didn't but when i saw a Cerberus coming staright at me i dived in the water! Talk about heroics! I'm n idiot and a coward!!
But the Cerberus started barking up at me then Hades appeared behind him wearing jogging outfit as if he'd been taking the Cerberus out o a walk.
"Percy this guy won't bite!" he said.
I started to get out of the water as i was doing it i said, "Yeah it has nice teeth do you brush it three times a day."
"This is no time to joke Percy your deadline is near than you could ever imagine you'll-" he said but i cut him off, "Deadline? Who said anything about a deadline is that the time we're about yo die?"
Hades glared at me and decided to ignore my question, "As i was saying, this Cerberus here will lead you to Medusa's Lair consider it as a gift or a pet."
"Pet? Do i have to give him doggie treats and teach him to roll over?" i said.
"you are just like your mother." he muttered.
"What?" i said but he just smiled at me innocently and waved his hand and disappeared! Just Great!
I looked at the Cerberus until i heard Jr said, "There you are Percy, What is that? A Cerberus?"
"Yeah." then i told them about Hades visit.
After a while Khinei said, "Why are you wet? Did the Cerberus licked you?"
"Very funny." i said we stared at each other for a while and we started to laugh.
"Come on let's go at the hotel and prepare for ... you know." Khinei said after a while.
We walked back with the Cerberus near me. I was glad to be back on Khinei's good side but one things sure i have to prepare myself forthe visit to Medusa's Lair.
