JUST FRIENDS

"Adrian!"

I was just walking at the hallway while heading to the studio where our dance class will held. And suddenly someone called my name in front of many students. No, Iʼm not embarrassed, sheʼs just noisy.

"Yes, baby?" I looked at her with such fierce eyes.

Mabilis niyang nilagay ang kamay sa bibig ko at diniin iyon ng subukan kong igalaw ang labi ko para sabihing tanggalin niya ito. Kaso, paano ko nga sasabihin iyon kung madiing nakatakip ang bibig ko gamit ang kamay niya.

"Call me by my name. I donʼt wanna get many fucking rumors." she hissed.

I nodded because I couldnʼt use my mouth to answer. Inalis niya na—sa wakas—ang kamay niya sa bibig ko.

"Hindi mo naman kailangan takpan ang bibig ko, ʼdi ba, Calia?" tinaas ko ang isang kilay ko.

"Kailangan." she glared at me.

"Good thing, your hand is soft." I said, and blinked my right eye.

"Youʼre so cringe. Itigil mo nga ʼyang kakaganʼyan mo." She said as she gritted her teeth. "Grrr, youʼre creepy. "

"At least Iʼm handsome." I smirked.

She, then, crossed her arms. "So inaamin mong cringe at creepy ka?"

"Yes at least pinapansin mo ʼko." I smirked.

"Okay. From now on, I will tell you you are super cringe and super creepy everyday." her headʼs up and eyes closed, looking like an arrogant lady which isnʼt that bad because she look so cute.

"What ever you wanna call me it doesnʼt matter, as long as you see my presence, itʼs okay."

"Hey, Adrian, tabi tayo sa loob ng studio ah!" sabi niya, she clings to me now. Isnʼt she adorable?

"Yeah, itʼs fine." napatingin naman ako sa kamay niyang naka-angkla sa braso ko. Nagbaba rin siya ng tingin doon. "I assure you wonʼt like hearing rumors about you."

At doon niya lang na-realize na nasa braso ko ang kamay niya. Nang tanggalin niya iyon sa pwesto ay napaiwas na lamang siya ng tingin.

Sabay kaming naglakad patungo sa studio area at naghanap ng bakanteng upuan. Just what I expected when we get there, the chairs arenʼt in the middle of the room like the usual class room. Nakadikit sa pader ang lahat ng upuan. Which gave us a lot of space in the middle. This is good for the whole class.

Umupo kami sa likod, sa gitnang bahagi ng nakahilerang mga upuan. We sat together, quietly and no one noticed that except for us.

"Good afternoon class." The instructor greeted. "Today is the first day of dance class. Lahat kayo ay mula sa ibaʼt ibang sections, right? So, for us to get to know each other, I want you to introduce yourselves." aniya. "By the way Iʼm Ms. Fenton. I will be your dance teacher or instructor for the whole school year." dagdag niya pa.

Nagkaroon ng bulungan sa bawat sulok ng silid saglit lang. Biglang nagsalubong ang tingin namin ni Ms. Hazel.

"Mr. Adrian Darwin Hudson Scottsdale!" masayang aniya, I kinda feel pissed when she said my name fully. "Kindly stand up and start introducing your self. To be followed by the beautiful lady on your right."

"Do I even need to introduce myself? Everyone in the campus knows me, right?" I said, frankly.

"Ah, oo nga. But you sure want to give them an important message so theyʼll stay motivated." then Ms. Hazel smiled.
