"Liana!"

Calia and I was just about to go home when someone shouted at our back.

"Liana?" I asked, suddenly. Did I misheard something?

"Uhm he means Calia, maybe namali ka ng rinig." Calia said when that guy stepped toward us.

They looked into each otherʼs eyes. That... That was the one I was pertaining to. The way they looked at each other. Itʼs like thereʼs something in between them. "Y-yeah thatʼs what I meant." Marcus, the guys who shouted and called Calia as Liana.

"Darwin, mauna ka na, susunod na lang ako. May pag-uusapan lang kami saglit." pagpapaalam ni Calia. Huminga muna akong malalim at pinag-isipan kung talagang aalis at mauuna na sa patutunguhan ko. Until Iʼm finally decided, so I turn back then headed straight but not to the parking lot.

"So youʼre not Liana, anymore?" Marcus asked.

Hindi pa ako nakakalayo ay narinig ko na ang pinag-uusapan nila. What does he mean about that? May hindi ba sinasabi sa akin si Calia? Is she lying to me?

"He only now my nickname—Calia—yet he doesnʼt know my full name." she said.

So... After everything weʼve been through, I havenʼt heard her name even once in my life. If Calia is not her real name—but her nickname—then what is it?

I hid my self behind the wall. They canʼt see me here. Iʼm not that far from them and Iʼm not closer neither.

"So you lied to him, Ms. Francesca Liana Montenegro?" Marcus asked. Sarcastically.

Francesca Liana Montenegro...

Akala ko, hindi ko pa malalaman ang pangalan talaga niya. Before I heard him say that, I was about to call someone expert on having a background check. But then, that happened.

"But donʼt get me wrong, those are white lies."

"Those? So you mean you have more than one lie?" he smirked.

"Y-yes... And I swear I didnʼt mean it." she said then her voice cracked.

She had lies... White lies. Iʼm getting my hopes high that it wonʼt affect much on our relationship.

"Hindi niya rin alam na ex mo ako. Pero ang sinabi mo kaibigan lang. Is that what you gained after you left me? To have knowledge about playing dirty?"

E-ex?

Kaya pala ganoʼn na lang ang pagtingin nila sa isaʼt isa kanina habang nasa loob ng restaurant. They were ex-lovers. Pero b-bakit? Tatanggapin ko naman ang tungkol doon kung sasabihin ni Calia ʼyon sa akin.

"I just donʼt wanna hurt his feelings..."

What about hurting my feelings? Honesty cannot hurt oneʼs feelings. That will never happen.

"In the mean time, you donʼt wanna hurt him yet you wanna hurt me. Thatʼs the truth, Liana." he quietly protested.

"Stop calling me that name. I buried it for almost 7 years!" and Calia raised her voice on him.

"Ganoon mo ba talaga ako kinamumuhian?"

"Marcus! Itʼs not what I meant! Stop trying to act na minahal kita!"

"Why? Hindi mo ba ako minahal?"

"H-hindi..."

He kissed my girlfriend! What the heck?!
