MORE THAN THAT

It's been a while...

Days are passing by and everything is going well. Describing the relationship of me and Calia, it's going well like what normal relationships do. There may be times that we don't spend time with each other, there may be times we couldn't see and talk to each other but we stayed strong and faithful.

October 24, that's the date today. Saturday has come again. It's been two weeks since we've been with each other.

I know she's doing well everyday. We both understand the situation that we are in nowadays. Full of schoolworks. I haven't seen her for a while.

Kung makikita man namin ang isa't-isa sa loob ng campus, hindi kami magkaka-usap. But every night, I'm grateful that we have free time. We have the chance to share how our day went to each other. Talking to each other before lying ourselves to bed. I sometimes sing to her even though I'm not good at it-but thankfully-she still appreciates those.

Ang buong Linggong ito ay nakakapagod sa dami ng ginagawa. Babawi ako ng tulog ngayong araw ng Sabado. Pero gustong gusto ko na makita si Calia... Should I take her on a date?

"Hey, you seem to have a lot of thoughts in mind." Calvin said. He was standing at my back while I was sitting in the counter in the kitchen. Wala nga rin akong ideya kung bakit ako nasa kusina.

Maybe I should take Calia on a date, tutal naman ay free time ko. But I should ask her first if it's okay.

"I have. Don't add more." nang matapos kong sabihin iyon ay napabuntong hininga ako. Hinihiling na sana 'wala siyang itatanong sa akin.

"Why?" tanong niya. Hiniling kong sana manahimik siya pero mas lalo lang siyang naging makulit.

"Go talk to Leonardo." I said, coldly and lacking of interest on him.

"I've talked to him a few minutes ago." he stated. What am I gonna do with that information? I don't care, Calvin, I really don't care.

I rolled my eyes. "So?"

Umupo siya sa tabi ko at pinatong ang bisig sa counter, "Nakausap ko si Liana last week." casually, he said.

"Oh, edi sana all." saad ko. Onti na lang, mapipikon na 'ko sa kapatid kong 'to.

"Ayaw mo ba'ng malaman kung anong pinag-usapan namin?" tanong niya. Talagang kinukuha niya ang atensyon ko sa paggamit kay Calia.

"Kung may balak kang sabihin-then why not?" I asked, sarcastically. Wala ako sa mood para kausapin siya ngayon.

"Look," napapikit siyang mariin sabay bumuntong hininga. "I'm trying my fucking best to keep up with you. This is effort, can't you see?" he spread his arms wide like he was showing everything he has.

Tinignan ko siya at agad na nagsalubong ang kilay ko, "Effort mo mukha mo." I replied.

Tumayo siya sa stool at nagpakalayo ng kaunti. “Hey, Liana.” Calvin said while he placed his phone near his ear. Napatingin agad ako nang marinig ang pangalang iyon. "Yeah, your boyfriend is here-oh he has a period today. Should I buy him some of his comfort foods?" he asked through the phone. Period?! What the hell Calvin?!

What the heck? Liana won't give her number to this jerk.

That's when I bursted out. That pissed me off so I attempted to snatch that phone from his hands. He was fast that I didn't even reach it. How dare you, Calvin!
