Chapter One: Apartment Tour

Lin:

"Cause if Lin can get married, there's hope for our ass after all!" Daveed quotes The Story of Tonight Reprise as I throw my head back into laughter.

"That one was actually good!" Anthony clapped.

"Alright, alright! That's enough roasting for a day." I chuckle as I organize the cabinets of Julia and I's brand new home. We finally moved in to the apartment that we wanted most, right across Broadway Street.

"When is Julia coming again?" Chris asks as I keep organizing the pantries. "Uhh, around three o'clock ish? So in a few minutes," I respond. She was currently in an interview, so it was just us boys in the apartment since they wanted to come in and check it out for the first time.

"You did great with this home, you know? The floors are incredible and it's pretty big for it to be a New York City apartment." Oak comments and here goes Daveed making fun of him again. "Oh, watch out guys! It's Bob the Builder commenting on Lin's new home!" He says and we all laugh. How I missed these boys.

"This is why you're not invited to the wedding." Oak jokes back and Daveed rolls his eyes playfully.

"Oh, I wish I could stop Daveed from coming to the wedding, but he already RSVPd" I sigh dramatically. I loved joking around with these fools.

"Ha, ha, very funny Lin!" He responds.

"No, but actually, are you guys ready for this wedding to happen?!" Anthony seems to be more excited than we are. I am actually super excited but I think I'm more nervous. My fears of messing up are tremendous. I mean, seriously, I'm going to be marrying the woman of my dreams, what if I say the wrong thing?!

"I know Lin is probably crapping his pants waiting for the wedding countdown." Daveed says and I laugh my ugly laugh.

"It's true." I shrug. "I'm just so nervous to do or say the wrong thing."

"You've fumbled your words in front of her, you've fallen to the floor in front of her, you've done embarrasing crap in front of her, and she still loves you. I think you're good." I chuckle at Chris' respond, "Jeez, thanks!"

"Speaking of the angel." I say as I hear the door open and see Julia come into view. The boys are all in the living room so I walk closer to Lia to say hi to her in private.

"How are you?! How was the interview!" I ask her excitedly as I greet her with a warm kiss.

"Settle down, Miranda!" She giggles. "It really was amazing, I'll tell you all about it later! How was your day?" She smiles.

"Oh, it was a lot of fun. The boys are still here since they were checking out the apartment." I let her know. She already knew that they were here in the morning.

"Great, I'll go say hi to them!"

"Hey guys!" Julia exclaims as we walk into the living room. "Hey, Julia!" They respond.

"All we need is Leslie, Jonathan, Renee, and Jasmine and we have ourselves a Hamilton Cast reunion!" Chris says and we all chuckle.

"Which reminds me, we should throw the engagement party for Lin and Julia here, with the whole cast!" Anthony says and I look at Lia and our eyes light up. We nod at the exact same time. "We would love that," I say.

"And Anthony, when are you proposing to Jazzy?! We've been waiting for almost a year, dude." Julia says as we all agree.

"Soon." He smiles.
