Chapter Eleven: Fake Identities

This couldn't be happening. This could not be happening. It was our Engagement Party. An opportunity to enjoy Julia and I's love. To celebrate our future hand in marriage. And something had to ruin it.

I see Thayne wrapped around her. He was smiling, totally unaware of the effect she had on all of us.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late, I had to pick up my date for tonight." He grins as he starts introducing her, but we already know who it is.

"This is my new, beautiful girlfriend, Emma Wilson."

That's not her name. I look around and we're all confused. We know that woman and that is not her name. Did she already start lying to Thayne already? Iclench my fists as my breath gets clogged up in my chest. I feel Julia's hand grab ahold of mine, instantly releasing and tranquilizing my anger.

"Hey, look at me." She whispers and makes me look into her eyes. I relax.

Thayne, one of our ensemble cast members, clearly had no idea. I try to smile politely as I ask him to step aside with me.

"Hey, man. Did she tell you her name was Emma?" I asked him. He seemed so confused. I don't blame the guy.

"Yeah, that's her name. Why do you ask?" He smiles.

"She's not who she says she is." I say.

"What? What do you mean?"

"Remember when we had to hire an Angelica when Renee left the cast for a while?" I begin.

"Yeah?"

"We replaced her with this girl named Sarah. Sarah Wilson." I put an emphasis on her last name. "And remember when she tried hitting on me and then accused me of hurting her? It was all her." I point to the girl Thayne brought with him tonight.

"And yet she told me her name was Emma. Not Sarah." He retreated.

"She lied to you." I breathed. "I'm sorry." I whispered.

Thayne wasn't there the night of the incident. He was taking a break from the cast so he never came to meet Sarah. He knew about the situation because we told him about it, but he was never here.

I look back and see Sarah taking a step towards Julia.

"You know who you are and you need to leave. Right now." I declared as I walked towards Julia's direction. I wrapped my arm around her waist and placed her behind me, just in case Sarah tried to pull any shenanigans off.

"What are you even talking about?" She tried to act as if nothing had happened.

"He's not repeating himself." Daveed backed me up.

"Fine. But I won't stop until I seek my deserved revenge. I'm telling you I won't stop until you pay for the embarrassment you put me through. Especially you." She now pointed towards Julia.
