Julia:
What. The. Fuck.
"So, you're telling me she tried to paint Julia as the bad guy? When Sarah literally tried to kill her?" Lin stood up angrily, the veins in his neck were clearly visible. I clutched his hand, aiming to soothe him down a bit. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"Unfortunately, yes, Mr. Miranda. But, assistance is already taking care of her, as of now, they're getting her down to the station. She might go to prison for facing not one, but two charges." The official asserted and we nodded in approval. "Well, I'll excuse myself."
"Thank you so much, officer." Lin and I both said at the same time. When he left the room, Lin sat back down next to my bed. Just as he closed the door, Daveed busted back in. "I'm ready to kill the son of a-" He said but I snickered, interrupting him. "They're already escorting her out of here."
Just as I said this, we heard a loud scream down the aisle. "I don't regret shooting you, Julia! All that blood really looked good on you, it certainly brought out your eyes. Just remember, I'm not done! All jail sentences have an expiration date." Sarah shouted as the police battled to keep her in place as they positioned the handcuffs onto her wrists.
"You dare come close to my wife one more time, I swear I'm going to murder you with my bare hands!" Lin wailed back through the windows.
Daveed both and I glanced at each other with amusement in our faces, "My God." He muttered. Lin turned to gaze at us as if nothing had happened, "What?" He interrogated in a cute innocent manner. We were both taken aback to say the least.
"I just didn't know you had that in ya." Daveed fooled.
"Me neither." I smiled.
"What can I say? I can be the loveliest and kindest soul on planet Earth until someone messes with the love of my life." He shrugged and I puckered my lips, signaling him for a kiss. He got down, planting his lips on mine.
"Okay, that looked straight out of a rom-com." Daveed fake sobbed with his imaginary tissues.
"Speaking of rom-coms, I'm afraid only one person can visit at a time. So..." Lin told, jokingly kicking Daveed out of the room.
"What does that have to do with a rom-" Daveed said nonchalantly while he furrowed his eyebrows until Lin cut him off. "Nothing, I just remembered that only one person can visi-"
"It literally has nothing to do with-" He answered back with the same monotonous voice, causing me to crack up. "Okay, anyway!" I said, breaking the little petty fight they were about to have like a pair of five year olds.
"Has the medic said anything about when I'm gonna be able to go home?" I asked, perking up at Lin.
"Oh, yeah, I talked with one of the doctors after your surgery and she told me that your body was reacting well to everything but they wanted to have you over at least two more nights just to keep an eye on you."
I put my hand up to my forehead, slightly sighing. "I just wanna go home." I shut my eyes close. I was dying to get to our apartment and just go back to living life in a normal way. This whole situation had us exhausted and irritated.
"I know, baby, but it's just a few more days and then I'll take you home, okay?" He seeded a kiss on my forehead. I smiled in return, I love this man.
"Yeah, me too, I'm pretty sure this hospital is haunted." Daveed added under his breath. I shook my head at his comment as a giggle escaped my lips.
"Okay, Lin, you've had your fair share of Julia already! We want to see our sister." I heard Renée's voice and a second later, she came into the room.
"See! Now Renée doesn't value the 'one visitor at a time' rule, so it's not just me!" Daveed crossed his hands up to his chest. "Sweetheart, get in line, I got here first." He told Renée sassily but she just shoved past him and came over to hug me.
"Angelica!" I sang as she wrapped her arms around me.
"Eliza!" She sang back.
"And Peggy!" Now Jasmine burst in the room, ticking Daveed off.
"Okay, now none of y'all respect the one visitor rule! I'm out of here!"

"Baby, stop messing with your IV." Lin said as I kept poking it out of boredom. I glanced at him with joy painted on my face, "And you! Will you quit playing with the bed settings?" I tossed my head back in laughter. We looked like a couple of teenage kids, not married grown-ups.
"Fiiiiine." He rolled his eyes playfully. Not two seconds passed before he kept hitting the same button, provoking my bed to rise.
"Lin-Manuel!" I glared at him while he gave me his famous puppy eyes stare.
"What?! It's fun!!"
"Come here." I patted the spot next to me and he climbed onto the bed. He draped his arm around my shoulder, pulling me into him. I inhaled his smell of cologne while I rested my head on his chest.
"Okay, what do you wanna do? My job is to not only protect you but to be your entertainment!"
"That sounds cute. Hmm, lemme think." I contemplated for a second. I suggested we watch a movie and he loved the idea, so we snuggled while we picked out a movie.
"How about this one?" He asked as he scrolled through the movie selection.
"No."
"This one?" He landed on another.
"Mhmm, no."
"Okay, a romance?"
"We're already living a romance, next!"
"Look at you, that was the smoothest thing you could have said to me. My game is wearing off on you, huh?"
"Miranda, we both know you have zero game." I teased while a smirk was plastered on my face. "Yeah, you may be right about that." He said, bumping my nose with his.
