Chapter Three: Reunion

Lin:

"Groffsauce!!!!!!!!" I scream as Jonathan enters the apartment. "Hamlet!!!!!" He screams back as we both run to each other and engulf one another in a huge hug.

"The real couple, ladies and gentlemen!" Julia says as we all laugh.

Today we had a Hamilton cast reunion at our apartment. Everyone was here, even Leslie, but the only one that hadn't come in yet was Jonathan aka Groffsauce. So when he came, we had to make the biggest dramatic entrance of course.

When I release Groff from the hug, he says hi to the rest of the cast members. "Oh how I missed my crew!" He shouted. "We're finally all here!" Anthony said.

It's true. Last weekend Julia went out with Renee and Jasmine and I stayed in with Anthony, Chris, Daveed, and Oak. But now, the cast is all here. Even Tommy, our great director, Andy, our amazing choreographer, and Alex Lacaimore, the piano god. Literally.

"First order of business...we need ALL the juicy details about Julia and Lin." Daveed said in a weird accent and I laughed. Julia blushed as I smiled at her. God I've never loved anyone as much as I love her.

"Well, we've started wedding planning and let me tell you it's stressful." She said and I chuckled. "It's true!" I added.

"But next we have to pick the venue and I feel like that's one of the most exciting parts." I continued and she nodded.

"Oh look at these two lovebirds! I still remember when I cornered Lin into telling me he liked Julia." Andy said, recalling the moment when I refused to kiss Jazzy in the musical.

"Oh my gosh, I remember that!" I laughed, reminiscing on the memories.

"And then there was me hearing all of Andy and Lin's conversation behind the wings."

"Sneaky Julia." Renee shook her head whilst laughing.

After watching movies and eating some delicious pizza, Anthony took the moment of telling us some big news. The girls fell asleep on the couch, so we went into the kitchen making sure they couldn't hear us.

"Okay guys, the reason I pulled you in here was because... I am proposing to Jasmine next week."

A few gasps here and there came out, and then Anthony reminded us to be silent just in case the girls heard us, since they were with Jazzy in the living room. "Oh sorry." Daveed raised his hand up to his mouth since he couldn't stop talking and we laughed at his action.

"As I was saying..."Anthony glares at him playfully, "We'll be traveling next week to London to do it there. Her whole family knows so they'll be there too. However, I want you guys to be there too for the big moment. You guys are part of the family as well." He finished and Jonathan almost cried thanks to Anthony's speech.

"Of course we'll be there man." Chris replied and we all agreed.

"Can Lin pay my ticket? I'm broke." Daveed commented and I punched him softly in his arm.

"What?! It's true." He said sassily.

We hugged Anthony and we had to be quietly excited because we didn't want the girls to hear any of our conversation. "I'm proud of you, man." I said to him. He's come so far.

"Thank you, Lin. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have even met Jazzy in the first place."

"You're more than welcome." I smiled.

"Okay, now time to wake up the Schuyler Sisters!" Jonathan exclaimed, walking into the living room.

"Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy!" He sang in the most tone-deaf voice, waking up Renee, Jasmine, and Julia all at the same time.

"Jonathan, shut up!" Julia threw a pillow at him while she was still half asleep.

"Aw. That's my girl." I said laughing.

When the reunion party was over and Anthony was about to leave, I pulled him aside. "Hey, can I tell Julia about your surprise?"

"Of course, man! Tell her to tell Renee as well. I wanted them to know but I couldn't tell them earlier since they were with Jazzy."

"That makes sense. Anyway, it was so great seeing you again. See you next week!" I whispered that last part so no one else could hear.

"You too, man!" He said and we hugged each other.

I closed the door behind him and now it was Julia and I alone again.

I sigh, "What an amazing night." I join Julia at the couch.

"I know right! It was great seeing everyone together." She said as she nuzzled herself into my chest.

I wrapped my arm around her shoulder, wanting to stay here forever. "Wanna hear some news?" I asked.

"Yes," She nodded her head.

"Anthony invited all of us to London next week because..." I trailed off.

Julia got all so cute and excited, looking up at me, "Because?!"

I smiled and chuckled. She looked so adorable waiting for me to finish my sentence.

"Lin-Manuel!" She exclaimed. "Okay, okay, fine!" I said.

"Because he's proposing to Jazzy in London and he wanted us to be there." I break the news and Julia gasps.

"No freaking way! Oh my gosh I'm so happy for them! Finally!" She burst into happiness.

"And we have to tell Renee as well cause she doesn't know,"

"I'll call her tomorrow, don't worry about it. Is he nervous?" She asked.

"Who, Anthony? He probably really is but doesn't show it."

"Were you nervous when you proposed to me?" Julia said, admiring the ring I gave her.

I leaned in, kissing her lips before answering the question. "What'd you do that for?" She smiled.

"I just love you so much."

Her eyes looked like they were about to water, "I love you, too." We stayed there for a second, just smiling at each other, before I decided to give her a respond.

"Well, I was hella nervous. I was scared there was going to be the possibility that you said no. I was terrified thinking that you were gonna say that we were moving too fast. But then I remembered us. Who cares if I was moving too fast? I don't believe in wasting time. I've told you this before but ever since I met you that day in the rehearsal room, I knew you were going to be someone special. I knew you'd stick around in my life. And you did. And you're here now, with me."

At this point, a tear had fallen down her cheek but I quickly caught it.

"You don't know how lucky I am to have met you, let alone have you. I found love when I wasn't even looking for it." Julia said and right there I was sure of something; She is my home.
