"Oh, looks like you're back a day earlier than me, Suko." Kuge Yuzuki smirked, observing the girl's expression who was standing a few feet away from him. It was early in the morning in the second-year hallway as students were talking with their friends on the way to class or grab materials from their lockers.
"But I'm a week late to beat you up." Kawanishi Atsuko angrily strode towards the boy, gripping him by the collar before slamming him into a locker. The second-year students were shocked by the sudden event, now staring at the two.
"Seems like it." He chuckled loudly, not even fazed by the sudden action — as if he couldn't feel pain anymore.
"Well, I'm here now. Do your best, Suko." He grinned menacingly before dropping his head low. He was putting a facade on. Inside, he was deeply heartbroken.
"This isn't the Kuge Yuzuki I know of. What happened?!" She roared, gripping his collar tightly, making him snap his head back towards the girl again.
"What happened? Hmm, I don't think I want to talk about it. So, come on. Let's get this over with. Homeroom is going to start soon." He blankly replied, gazing into the girl's eyes dejectedly. His olive-coloured eyes that were once filled with vitality was now an empty void — filled with eternal darkness.
Kawanishi Atsuko did not hesitate to slam his body into the locker again, this time with more force. This caused the boy to hissed loudly, his back now searing with pain.
"Just fucking spit it out, Yuzuki. You promised you wouldn't touch another cigarette! What the fuck happened that day?!"
Kuge Yuzuki glance at Atsuko warily before looking to the side. Without him realising, a tear trailed down his cheek.
"H-hey, why are you crying?! I didn't slam you that hard!" Atsuko panicked, noticing his glossy eyes.
"Don't worry, Suko. I'm not crying because of you." He smiled, his eyes now leaking like a faucet. Atsuko widened her eyes, immediately releasing her grip from the second-year.
"Oi, Yuzuki! What happened?! I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong!" She pleaded, wiping his tears away with her fingers.
"You can't do anything about it, Suko. Nothing can change the fact that it happened." He mumbled, looking away. He bit his lip, suppressing a whimper from escaping.
"Yuzuki. Please, just tell me." She softly whispered, grabbing both his cheeks with her hands — forcing his olive eyes to gaze into her chartreuse ones. His eyes widened, not expecting the sudden contact. His sighed softly before he whispered.
"She cheated on me."

"Takebe, we have cleaning duty after school. Please don't be late."
"Yeah, yeah. Whatever, Kuroo." The wine-haired girl responded rudely as she rolled her eyes. She didn't bother giving a second look at the raven-haired boy before leaving class for lunch.
"Urgh! Can't she just do her job for once?! All she has to do is sweep the fucking floor! It's not like she has to clean the whole school!" Kuroo huffed, slamming his hands into his desk.
"Calm down, Kuroo. No point in getting worked up over this." Kai urged, patting his back firmly.
"You're right. I have better things to worry about."
