"He's gone now," Kenma muttered loud enough for the girl to hear. She hesitantly loosened her grip on his dark blue blazer before moving away from him.

"Who was that anyway, Kawanishi-san?" Kuroo asked.

"A fan." She mumbled, averting her gaze on the two boys.

"Oh, someone is popular," Kuroo smirked, intrigued. If what the fanboy claimed was true, it would have made sense for people to chase around someone famous. He didn't know much about sports celebrities other than volleyball so it was quite interesting for him.

"More or less..." She chuckled dryly, before smiling at them sheepishly. Kenma only kept quiet, his eyes just staring at the girl's face. He could only think of one thing as he looked at her.

'She does look like a strawberry.'

"Anyways, thank you for just now. I honestly thought for a second that you were going to give me away."

"It was all part of the plan, Kawanishi-san. My friend here thought the same too. You should have seen the look on his face!" Kuroo chortled, recalling how wide Kenma's golden yellow eyes were.

"Oh, really?" She quizzed, now gazing at the setter.

Kenma nodded his head before looking away, embarrassed. She just laughed before responding.

"Alright then. Thank you again, you two! I'll be on my way now. I'm already late —"Her eyes widened in realisation.

"Oh fuck! I'm late for school!" She immediately dashed off, leaving the two behind.

'Crap, was I too rude? Should I give them something in return?' She thought, still running at full speed. She turned her head behind and both of them were still staring at her, their faces surprised. She immediately halted her steps as she catches her breath. Atsuko dug in her canvas bag and took a small Tupperware out. She ran back towards them, gripping the pink coloured container tightly.

"I'm sorry I don't have anything to give you in gratitude so please accept this! My mom made it and it's my favourite! Don't worry about the container! Alright, I gotta dash! Fuck, Kane is going to kill me!" She rambled before handing the Tupperware into Kuroo's empty hands. She gave one last curt nod before running away, her body out of sight in a couple of seconds.

"Damn. What was all that? And shit, she is a fast runner. No wonder they couldn't catch up with her." He muttered watching her dash off from the street.

"Yeah..." Kenma responded, still staring behind him even though the girl was long gone.

"Well, we better get going. The station is just around the corner."

"Ah, if it isn't the Berry Fairy, guardian angel of the court." A girl announced as soon as Kawanishi Atsuko entered the class, her iconic strawberry hair swaying left and right as she walked towards her table. Her male classmates (fanboys) immediately snapped their heads towards the door, their eyes and mouth widening — surprised that she was finally back. The female students only smiled bashfully, the presence of the gorgeous girl making them flustered.

Kawanishi Atsuko briefly waved at her classmates, to which they all did the same.

"Must you call me that?" Atsuko responded towards the girl who called her badminton nickname. The same girl just shrugged her shoulders before asking a question.
