You sat comfortably in the empty theater, your breathing slow and your muscles relaxed as your eyes scanned the abandoned entertainment center. You've been sitting in here ever since Ellie left to find Nora, which happened to be three to four hours ago.

Of course you wanted to go with her but Ellie being the protective girlfriend she is wouldn't let you, Dina needed someone to be in the vicinity with her, and Ellie didn't want to risk you getting injured because of her want for revenge, so you stayed in the theater and ever since she had left a small amount of worry has plagued your mind.

You knew Ellie could take care of herself, like come on, she's a total bad-ass, but she's not invincible and thats what scares you most. You wouldn't be there to watch her back, and if she did die or get badly injured - which you hoped wouldn't happen - you wouldn't be there for her, you wouldn't know what happened or where she was.

You could only pray that she would come back soon, safe and sound, and soon enough your prayers were answered. . . Sorta.

A loud but gentle knock echoed all throughout the theater catching your attention. You stood from your seat and trailed up the walkway and into the front of the theater where you saw Dina unhooking the chair and opening the door.

You knew it had to be Ellie she was letting in so you walked towards the door. When Ellie steps into the door a smile comes to your face, but it fades when you see that she's enveloped in blood.

"Holy shit, Ellie, are you okay?."

The brunette ignores your question and takes out a map. Her hands tremble but she tries her best to mark where Abby was.

"S-she. . She's in the aquarium."

You nod your head and place a hand on her shoulder while Dina takes the map "Okay." Dina mutters, walking away from you and Ellie and over to the stairs so she could go into the map room.

"Ellie?." you speak gently, not wanting to startle the trembling girl before you.

She doesn't say anything, she just continues to stare at her blood covered hands, until you take them in yours.

"Hey." you whisper softly, catching the brunettes attention. She lifts her gaze up to you, her beautiful green orbs lock onto yours and you can see the fear and slight regret that swims in them.

"Let's go get you cleaned up okay?."

She nods, too shaken up to talk anymore. You frown at her clearly frightened state and gently tug her along towards the back of the theater. The entire time you walk Ellie sticks right by your side, hand tightly gripping onto yours, wanting nothing more than your comfort.

"Here. Sit here babe."

You help her sit on one of the stages supply boxes and crouch in front of her. You cup her cheeks and gently run your thumb over her skin, wiping some blood away from her face and onto your hands.

"You're okay now, El. It's gonna be okay. I'll be right back, I'm gonna get some water so we can clean you up. You gonna be okay while I'm gone?."

She stares into your eyes for a few seconds before hesitantly nodding her head. You give her a small smile and press a lingering kiss to her forehead "Okay. I'll be right back."
