"Hey, I see some of my friends, I'm gonna go talk to them. I'll see you later." your boyfriend said as he makes his way to his friends.

"What-" you don't even get to speak as b/n walks away from you. With a heavy sigh you watch as he leaves "I'll just chill by myself, I guess." you mutter with slight annoyance.

With a shake of your head, you walk through the crowded dance floor and over to the bar, ordering a strong drink in hopes to make some fun out the party you weren't even planning on going to.

Scanning the room as you take a sip of your drink, your eyes land on the tall,green-eyed beauty known as Ellie. She stands in a corner all alone, drink in hand as she skims through the large group of dancers.

You smile at the sight of her before sauntering over to her.

"Hey, El." you greet, grinning widely at the girl. Turning to look at you, Ellie smiles "Hey, long time no see."

"I know right? I miss hanging out with you. I'm sorry about flaking out so much, b/n doesn't like when I go out so much."

Ellie nods and takes a sip from her drink, eyes running up and down your body.

"You look great tonight, y/n."

A blush paints your cheeks at her compliment and a small laugh falls from your lips "Not as great as you though, hot stuff." you wink at her and Ellie throws her head back with a laugh, cheeks painted with a blush that matches yours.

Playfully, she nudges your shoulder "Whatever." she mutters, rolling her eyes in a joking manner. Giggling, you take another sip of your drink.

"Did you come here alone?" you questioned. Ellie nods and steps closer to you, so close that you can feel a comforting warmth radiating off of her.

"Yeah.Maria wanted me to be some type of chaperone, I guess. I don't know, I just have to make sure people aren't getting too wasted. Can't have them trying to go out to fight some infected cause they're too drunk."

You nod "That would be funny to see. Ya know, unless they get bitten." Ellie laughs and nods "That would be pretty hilarious. Anyways, what about you? d'you come alone?"

You sigh and shake your head "I came with, b/n. But he ditched me for his friends. I wasn't even planning on coming, but b/n begged me to come, and so I did. But, right when we got here he instantly left me. I don't even know why I came, I should have known he would've done that."

Ellie scoffs "I don't know why you stay with him. There are better people for you, n/n. He always treats you like shit, you need someone who will treat you with love and care. . . Like me."
