You watched with a smile on your face as Ellie played around in the snow with some kids. They were all having a snowball fight, Ellie of course was winning, but the other kids were putting up a good fight.

Everyone was having fun, and all you wanted to do was watch, You loved seeing the childish side of Ellie come out, and all you wanted to do was admire her for as long as you could.

However, you couldn't admire her childishness for too long because after a few minutes of watching them mess around, a snowball met the side your head.

You gasp and shiver in surprise as the snow dampens your jacket.

"Fuck thats cold!"

"Y/n! No cursing there are children here!"

Turning to look at Ellie you glare at her playfully "Really? I didn't know!" Ellie grins and makes another snowball in her hands "Well, now you do." she shrugs, tossing another snowball at you.

"You really wanna try me right now, El?"

She giggles and ready's another snowball, ignoring the other kids completely as she solely focuses on you.

"Maybe." 

"Ellie." you warn her, as you give her a glare. Your warning was meant to scare her, but it only makes her want to throw the snowball at you more.

She cocks her arm back and teasingly smiles at you "What are you going to do if do throw it?" you smile and laugh, shaking your head "Oh you don't even want to know, babe."

She laughs and shrugs, throwing the snowball at you.

You laugh and dodge the ball of snow "You're gonna regret that." quickly, you made two snowballs, throwing both of them directly towards Ellie and hitting her square in the chest.

"Ow! No, wait I'm sorry!"

You laugh and make more snowballs, chasing after her as she runs away "Ellie come here!" she grins and shakes her head "Hell no!" she screams back, trying her best to dodge your snowballs, but her attempts are futile, your aim is too perfect.

You continue to chase after her as she runs away, both of you taking shots at one another with snowballs, some of them hitting, some of them missing.

The two of you continue to laugh as you run around, both of you enjoying the fun you were having.

As time passed the two of you were starting to get tired of running around. You and Ellie stop running and smile to one another, you make your way over to her and pull her into a hug, laughing when she shivers at the touch of your freezing nose against her neck.

"You're cold." she whined trying to push you away. You laugh and hold onto her tighter "No shit, we've been playing with snow." you chuckle, closing your eyes as she rubs your back, warming you up.

"I would kill for some of Joel's hot chocolate right now." you laugh and nod, agreeing with Ellie "That sounds so good." 

Ellie presses a kiss to the side of your head "It does doesn't it?" you nod slowly and close your eyes, a relaxing feeling washing over you.

"Hey, n/n?"

"Hmm?" you hum, waiting for her to talk. You feel her pull away slight, but you pay no attention to it, thinking that she was repositioning herself in the hug.

"I hope you like the cold."

"What?" you lift your head from her shoulder and open your eyes, confused as to why she was saying that, but you shrieked a seconds later when cold,freezing snow slid down your back.

Ellie had slipped snow into the back of your shirt.

"Ellie!" you gasp, body tensing up as the snow slides down your back. Ellie laughs at you and watches as you desperately try to rid your jacket and undershirt of snow.

"That's it, come here!"

"No!"

Ellie sprints away from you again, laughter falling from her lips as you continue to chase after her. 

After a few seconds, you catch up to Ellie, tackling her onto the snow covered ground.

She shrieks from the cold and tries to wriggle out from under you, but you hold her down, not letting her go.

"Hey Ellie? I hope you like the cold." you mimic as you brush snow along her neck and face. She giggles and squirms "I'm sorry! I'm sorry." you chuckle and let go of the snow you held in your hand.

You smile down at Ellie and stare into her eyes. Ellie mirrors your smile and cups your cheeks, pulling you down to press a kiss to your cold, soft lips.

You hum at the feeling of her lips against yours and close your eyes.

After a few seconds you pull away slightly, receiving small,little pecks to your lips as Ellie tugs you closer.

She grins widely and brushes the pad of her thumbs against your cheeks.

Its silent as the two of you stare at one another, neither one of you wanting to ruin this moment by talking. Sighing softly, you lean down and peck her lips.

"God, I love you." you mutter as you lean in to kiss her completely, but you stop yourself when you realize what you had said.

Out of the entire two months you had been dating Ellie, neither of you had said those words. You were scared you had ruined the one good thing that had happened to you since moving to Jackson.

"Shit I. .  I'm sorry I. . I didn't mean to say that."

You sigh and sit up, pushing yourself away from Ellie.

"I understand if you don't feel the same. I'll uh. .I'll just go." you quickly stand up and move to walk away from Ellie, but before you can take a step forward, Ellie gently grabs your wrist, standing up herself and pulling you into a kiss.

You tense at first, before slowly relaxing and kissing back, wrapping your arms around her neck to deepen the kiss.

When you pull away you're both breathless. Ellie smiles at you and rests her forehead on yours, brushing a strand of hair away from your face.

"It's okay babe, cause I love you too."

You smile and peck her lips before pulling her into a hug. You rest your head on her shoulder and close your eyes,  heart filled with so much love, you thought it might burst.

Ellie smiles down at you and presses a lingering kiss to your temple "I love you so much." she mutters.

You giggle and press a kiss to her neck.

"But not as much as I love you."
