After the sudden disappearance of you and Joel, the party had become oddly quiet. No one was sure as to why the two of you had left so abruptly nor did they know the reason behind Joel hugging you so close.

The music had come to a stop as well as the cheerful sound of laughter, instead, in its place was the sound of hushed whispers. Ellie's attention was pulled away from Dina and over to everyone who seemed to be caught in their own conversation about what happened.

She was confused as to what everyone was talking about, but when she caught a glimpse of Joel leading you to your house from the window, she knew that what ever happened involved you.

A heavy sigh rushed past her lips and she lowered her head. She knew you must have been watching her and Dina dance, which also meant you saw the kiss.

Dina picked up at the sudden change of Ellie's mood and gently cupped her chin, raising her head so she could gaze into Ellie's green orbs.

"Hey, what wrong?" she questioned softly. Ellie shook her head and grinned, ridding her mind of past memories of the two of you together.

"Nothing, I'm okay." she promised. Dina gazed into Ellie's eyes, searching them to see if she was lying, but when nothing stood out she shrugged off the sudden change in Ellie's mood and pressed her lips against Ellie's.

Ellie kissed back of course, but after a few seconds she pulled away, hands wresting on Dina's shoulder to put some distance between one another.

"I. . I'm sorry, Dina. I can't do this right now. You know, y/n and I just broke up. I like you Dina, trust me I do, but I need to talk to her first."

Dina sighed but stepped back, sending an understanding smile Ellie's way.

"You go talk to her then. Afterwards we can hopefully give us a try. . . If you're willing to."

Ellie nodded and smiled at Dina's suggestion "I would like that. But I have to clear my mind first." Dina nodded "I'll catch you later." pressing a kiss to Ellie's cheek, Dina waved goodbye and made her way over to the bar where Jesse resided.

Ellie watched Dina walk away before fixing her slightly disheveled clothing. She took a deep breath, walked outside the party and made her way over to your house.

"Are you going to be okay?."

You sniffled and nodded towards Joel, a small smile tugging on your lips as he seemed to care for you like you were his daughter.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. I think I'm just gonna go to bed."

Joel nodded and pulled you into a hug, placing a gentle kiss to your forehead.  Pulling away he sent you a sympathetic smile and wiped away the rest of your tears before bidding his goodbye.

After hearing the gentle click of the front door closing you sighed heavily. You hated the fact that you had broke into tears. You hated that she had moved on, and that you hadn't.

Deciding it would be best to sleep away your sorrow, you made your way to your bedroom. You were getting ready to change into your sleep wear when gentle,yet urgent knocks sounded through the house.
