Sixteen - Meetings

San    Wooyoung

"Oh boy. This is going to be quite a ride." Hongjoong sighed.

"What do you think? Are you willing to take this case on?" Wooyoung prayed in that short moment that the latter would say yes. Hongjoong was the best lawyer he knew and trusted, do having him on board would help San's case a lot.

Hongjoong thought for a short moment before speaking up. "I'll have to hear his story first then I'll decide from there."

Wooyoung knew that it would be easier to have the two of them meet, but it was a matter of how he was going to do it that got his brain working. "I'll see what I can do. I will call you once I've got an appointment settled."

The two had agreed to keep everything discussed here today between them. There would be no files or record of anything said in this meeting. Mainly because Hongjoong hasn't yet decided if he'd take on this case. The other reason was for confidential purposes, considering how the media is mostly focused on Choi San.

If the media caught a whiff of this meeting they certainly won't stay calm. They'd start chasing after both Wooyoung and Hongjoong for information.

They cut the meeting short since both of them had other appointments. Wooyoung left first. He'd promised San that he'd go visit Soo Ji at least once a week, so that is what he'd be doing.

Wooyoung had sent a message to Soo Ji so she could meet him at that cafe near her school. The same one they met up at last time. He'd waited for what seemed to be 15 minutes and she still hadn't turned up. His message to her was still unread. Wooyoung knew that she'd finished school a while ago so she should be here by now.

Without wasting any more time, he immediately got out of his chair and made his way to her school. He prayed that nothing happened to her for her to not turn up. He also prayed that she was in school rather than out.  He didn't know why he was doing it. But at this time and this moment, he considered her to be somewhat like family...

Once he reached the school entrance he saw a familiar figure waiting outside. Wooyoung sighed deeply before heading to her. "Yah Choi Soo Ji!"

Her head immediately turned to his direction. She had a confused look plastered on her face. "Huh..? Mr Wooyoung, what are you doing here?"

"What do you mean? I've been waiting for you at the cafe but then you didn't show up. Didn't you get my message?"

She took out her phone and pressed the power key a few times. "Aish.. my phone must have died. Sorry. Where you worried?"

"Worried? Of course I was! Do you know what San would do to me if he finds out you've gone missing?!" He reached out and patted her head. "Anyways I'm glad you're oka-"

Wooyoung suddenly felt an arm grab his before he was pushed a few steps back. A guy, around his height maybe a little shorter, stood in front of Soo Ji. He had jet black hair and sun kissed skin, his eyes were a beautiful shade of honey brown and his cheeks a rosy shade of pink. "Who the hell are you?" The younger spoke through gritted teeth.

"Baby stop it he's someone I know." Soo Ji surprisingly replied. Immediately the guy stepped to the side.

"B-baby?" Wooyoung's eyes widened. He had no idea how he was going to deliver this news to San without giving him a motive to break the hell out of prison. "Oh boy.. San isn't going to like this."

"Mr Wooyoung... please don't tell him. I'm begging you." She whined.

The guy beside her stood there feeling like he was the one third wheeling. "Can someone please fill me in on everything?"

"Ah Hyunwoo-ya, this is Doctor Jung Wooyoung. He's in charge of my older brother." She turned to Wooyoung. "Doctor this is Hyunwoo, my boyfriend. I'm sorry I didn't tell you about this before."

Wooyoung sighed, slightly irritated. "Okay before I start my rant. Can you stop calling me 'Mr Wooyoung' or 'Doctor'. It annoys the hell out of me. Just call me Wooyoung, I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other a lot so let's cut the formalities.

"Okay then! Is there something important you'd like to talk to me about?" Soo Ji asked, brining Wooyoung back to what he was going to saw before this Hyunwoo should up.

"Yeah, how about you go visit your brother next week? They're holding a family meeting. I'm pretty sure he'd appreciate it if you visited him. What do you say?" Wooyoung noticed the way Soo Ji hesitated at first before nodding. "Okay let's meet up before that to prepare everything we need."

"Who are you meeting exactly?" Hyunwoo asked, making Wooyoung question whether the boy knew about Soo Ji's background or not.

"My older brother, you know the one I told you about before." She replied confidently, Wooyoung smiled at how she wasn't ashamed to tell her brother's story to the person she likes the most. "Well Wooyoung, I have plans with Hyunwoo so I'll see you in a few days. Try not to miss me too much! And please don't tell San!!"

"Keep dreaming kiddo." Wooyoung laughed before waving at her as she left with Hyunwoo.

As he watched Soo Ji leave, he couldn't help but wonder why he was doing all this for one person. He's helping another guy when Wooyoung is the one that needed help the most. Kang Yeosang, was that man cheating on him with the prison guard?

Wooyoung tried really hard to ignore everything about Yeosang. As much as he wanted to believe he was innocent, a lot of things about him told Wooyoung otherwise.

Were the 3 years they spent together finally going to end?

Park Seonghwa made his way to San's cell as promised this morning. He was going to give the prisoners plan a listen and if it clicked with him, then maybe just maybe Seonghwa would consider going through with it.

San sensed the guard's footsteps as he made his way towards his cell. Seonghwa knocked on the door twice to notify the occupant of his arrival.

"Yes?" San replied.

"Your plan better be worth this." The guard whispered. "And I swear if it's some useless plan I will personally make sure you never get out of this prison ever."

San chuckled as the guard opened up the door and stepped in. "Oh don't you worry about that."
