♔"Guards are supposed to stand straight so don't fidget." She slapped his hand. "Don't speak at all but if they talk to you first then you can speak. If you need to leave then make sure to excuse yourself and if there's danger your first priority will always be me. Not her mother, not me or anyone who's besides (y/n). Just (y/n)."
Feitan tried to process as much as he could but the uncommon language made it harder for him to understand. He sighed, slouching his shoulders, hoping they would understand that he couldn't understand.
"You should bring a translator." (Y/n) interrupted Cammy's lesson.
Cammy looked up from her book, she stared up at the princess who had been watching from her throne. She had been sitting there in the silence until she realized he was struggling. Her chin rested on the palm of her hand, she wore a bored look with dull eyes and a frown.
"What do you need a translator for?"
"I don't need one but I'm sure he does. He doesn't know English well." She pointed at Feitan.
Cammy turned to look at the guard who immediately looked away, flustered that they were talking about him.
"I can understand you." He hissed to himself and then Cammy closed her book.
"You speak Chinese?" She asked.
Feitan raised an eyebrow upon hearing his language being spoken from the servant. It sounded odd hearing it from someone else other than his own father. Cammy looked at him, patiently waiting for him to respond.
He scoffed, "Yeah."
"You speak his language?!" (Y/n) gasped, nearly jumping up from her seat. She felt a wave of relief knowing that someone would finally understand him. She was glad someone knew what he was saying.
"Not much, just basic Chinese."
"Chinese, huh?" She mumbled to herself. "That's a dead language. I'm not even sure if any Chinese translators exist anymore...teach him English then."
"I'm not going to teach him-"
"I won't be able to understand him if there's an emergency. It's not a request, it's an order."
Cammy looked shocked from the sudden change of tone, she cleared her throat, shaking her head to snap back to reality.
"R-Right. I'll teach him basic English then." Cammy lowered her head and when she heard Feitan chuckle she shot him a glare.
"The princess treats you like a rat." Feitan bluntly told her, enjoying the scene in front of him. "How long until she eats you up too?"
Cammy only glared at him, hoping he would shut up. She slammed her notebook closed and ignored his smirks. Even though (y/n) was pleased she couldn't possible allow him to speak Chinese in the palace. Not when her mother and her minions she called servants were running around telling her everything that happens while she's gone.
"Cammy, tell him that I don't allow servants or guards to speak any other language except English. He can do it behind my back for all I care but not in front of me."
This time it was Cammy's turn to laugh at him. She smiled, "The princess says, she'll cut your tongue off if you keep speaking another language in front of her. It's best if you learn quick."
"She'll cut my tongue? Tell her I'm into that kind of stuff." He laughed. "Will she torture me?"
"Torture is such a strong word, she'll only punish you, though I doubt you'll even last a week here." She snapped back. "You'll be gone sooner or later."
