The sound of ice breaking made (y/n) realize they were near a river. She listened to Masami stomp onto the frozen river. She jumped back onto land before the ice shattered, water splashing underneath. She ripped her sleeve, wetting it before turning to (y/n) who looked like a mess.

"Alright, let's see." She mumbled to herself.

(Y/n) flinched when she felt the cold wet rag touch her face. Her skin instantly turning blue and then slowly returning back to her normal skin. She already looked like her normal self once the bleeding and dirt was off her face, though her eyes continued to bleed. Masami frowned, feeling even worse now that she could clearly see where she bled.

"Now, try to splash water onto your eyes."

(Y/n) chuckled nervously, "I don't think it's dirt."

"Please just try."

She noticed the fear in her voice, she did as she was told and opened her eyes to splash water onto her face. (Y/n) sat up, opening her eyes to see nothing. She smiled weakly, finally realizing she did go blind.

"Can you see?" Her hopeful friend asked, worried to death if what they feared happened.

She weakly smiled at Masami, nodding.
"My vision is coming back slowly." She lied, already knowing that Masami was panicking.

Masami blinked a couple of times, rubbing her eyes to see if she was blind. She felt her heart stop for a moment when she saw (y/n)'s eyes, almost as if she got stabbed. Masami sighed, figuring that she was only lying to make her feel better. She ruffled her hair before helping her stand up.

"We should get going, I'm sure Feitan is already waiting for you back at Phoenix's palace." Masami chuckled weakly, helping her get back onto the horse. "He's probably worried sick."

"How long have you been planning this out?"

"Hm?" She responded with a hum, wondering what she meant. "You mean the bombing or the rescue mission we just completed?"

"Everything."

"It too a while, the bombing was my idea though. I have to admit, it was pretty cool and insane that we survived through that. If we can survive a bombing imagine what else we can survive." She laughed, getting her things ready.

"Masami, promise me that after this is all over you'll come with me to go see the ocean." Her hand grabbed onto hers, giving it a small squeeze.

She sighed loudly, smiling back at the princess. "I pro-" but she stopped when her attention was caught by a girl who was riding her horse at full speed, looking at them with murder in her mind. Masami's hand immediately gripped onto her sword, protecting (y/n) as she stood her ground.

"I knew you were a traitor, watching you leave while the palace burned down, that's classic." The girl retorted, slowly stopping in front of them.

(Y/n) snapped her head in the direction of where she heard Jupiter's voice. Jupiter?! No wonder I didn't see her at the party, she wasn't even there! She ignored Jupiter's presence, tugging on Masami's sleeve. "Get on, we need to leave."

"If you leave now then I'll just follow you. You're heading to the rebellions base aren't you?" Jupiter was quick to expose their plans, she was dangerous and a risk to the rebellion. Masami couldn't let her interfere, not when they were a step closer to putting an end to the never ending nightmare the poor all seemed to live in.

She ignored Jupiter, turning around to look up at (y/n).  "This horse belongs to one of your friends, he'll know his way back home." Masami whispered to (y/n), shoving her backpack into her chest.
