"What's going on outside?"

"I'm not sure, I'll be back-"

"No, wait I don't think-"

"It's fine."

The woman watched as her husband walked into the darkness. She began to fidget with hands, frightened from waking up to the sound of gunshots near her home.

She stepped outside of her warm home, wrapping her arms around herself to keep her warm. She looked around the empty dark street, wondering where her husband had gone off to. She slowly began to panic, flinching every time she heard another gunshot, sometimes followed by a scream.

"Henry?-"

"It's nothing to worry about." Her husband suddenly appeared in front of her.

She jumped, frightened from him randomly appearing back into the light. She sighed in relief once she realized it was just him and a guard following him.

"I would suggest staying inside, we don't want to mistake you by a scum." The guard chuckled, watching them go back inside.

The woman kept her distance, scanning the guard to see if he was planning to attack. She kept her hand on the doorknob, ready to slam it close at any moment.

"Wait what are you all doing outside at this hour?"

The guard gave them a generous smile, hoping they wouldn't ask much questions. He was on a tight schedule today and couldn't waste time at all.

"We're just cleaning the streets."

The girl ran down the street, she fell onto the ground fearing for her life.

The guard who was chasing after her quickly caught up to her, not hesitating to lift the rifle above his head to smash her skull. The girl screamed, mentally preparing herself to feel the pain.

Suddenly she heard him drop to the floor, including the gun. She opened her eyes to see a young girl, one of her eyes bandaged and a knife in her hand. Her hero was out of breath, and she saw a couple of kids standing behind her who also seemed terrified. It seemed like she wasn't the only one who was being attacked by guards.

"Come on, stand up." She said, helping the girl get up before all of them rush down the alley.

"Where are we going?!" One of them asked, tears in their eyes after almost getting killed.

"To the rebellion base of course!"

The kids all looked at each other confused, most of them hadn't even heard of the rebellion in years. They all thought they had died after the lost kingdom burned to ashes.

"Wait, who even are you?"

Their hero looked back at them, she gave them a small smile before stopping dead in her tracks. She grabbed the steel pole that was on the ground and stood near the wall. She watched a helpless boy past by them, then she jumped out, swinging the pole as hard as she could and hitting the guard.

"I'm Masami."
