Knowing Swan

  It's been a while since I met Swan and now I have actual friends.

They couldn't care less about anything and they all like helping others. It also helps that one of them is my idol.

I've also learned that it isn't uncommon for Swan to notice things others don't. Apparently he really likes learning new things.

Because of it, he's very observant of everything.

He's the only person I know that can tell how you're feeling without you doing anything to show it. He's very considerate too.

He always tries to make everyone comfortable, and it's only made me like him even more.

Before long, I felt that we were both really close now.

Especially after what happened one night.

I had gotten peer pressured into drinking one night and I stumbled into him.

I was too drowsy to tell, but he seemed really worried and he dragged me all the way to [Moni hyung's] place.

That was when I first met Moni hyung.

I met him in the morning though since he was gone for the night.

I think Swan told him that we were there, but I'm not sure. Anyway, he laid me on the bed and I started ranting to him. It was so embarrassing.

However, it was also uplifting.

I only remember bits and pieces, but I do remember him saying something along the lines of "You don't have to force yourself to be something"

I also vividly remember him petting my hair and saying this to me.

"I'm here"

I've been following him wherever he went whenever I had the time ever since then.

Still, after months, I know nearly nothing about his personal life.

No one really does, and the few who do don't like to tell, especially since it's not their life to tell. I respect them for that though.

One thing I am glad about though is that I can make him smile, which he doesn't do a lot apparently.

I've made it my mission to make him genuinely happy anytime I get the chance. It was a bit hard at first, but I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I found out that Swan doesn't really have a set place to stay, he mostly just roams around or stays at Moni hyung's.

Moni hyung has a [roommate] though, so he can't always stay.

Jinyoung hyung has also said that he's tried to get Swan to live with him, but he doesn't want to take up space since Jinyoung hyung has a pack already.

Which reminds me, I was surprised when I first met him. Him and his pack all transfered to my school.

They became popular quickly for already being in a pack at our age.

I also couldn't tell that he had the same problems as me, so it was pleasantly surprising. It was also nice that I now had him to talk to in school about my problems.

Swan also has a few theories about the reason why our eyes change [ranks], and it makes a lot of sense.

Anyway, before I completely side track, I tried to offer Swan a place at my house, but he said he'd think about it.

For now, he spends most of his time either at Haven, Moni hyung's place, or Jinyoung hyung's. I did get his phone number though, so it's easier to find him now.

We text on Moni hyung's secure line, so no one can see any of the texts without him knowing.

Anyway, It's only been two months since I actually met Swan, even if it feels like longer, and I still don't know why he looks so familiar.

At least, I didn't, till now.

My sister and I have been out of town for a couple weeks.

When we came back, my first thought was to meet up with Swan, so I waited in Haven excitedly.

I played with my phone for a bit.

The moment I saw his familiar clothes in the corner of my eye, I looked up at him with a smile and stood up before moving toward the café doors.

We started talking, but I noticed a few things off.

First, Swan was taking us down a different route than usual, but I didn't say anything.

I vaguely thought it was weird, but then I noticed something else. Not too far behind us were footsteps following us.

That's when I connected the dots.

I made up a plan and Swan seemed to understand immediately.

After another turn, Swan and I hid and waited for the stalker to pass us before pinning them to the wall.

I didn't have time to take in their appearance as I did, so I didn't realize that they looked familiar until they actually spoke. "It's me! Jungkook!"

I accidently let him go from the shock as he pulled his arm out of my hold and turned to face me.

"Jungkook?"
