~Jeon Joohyun~
I was born into a family of high ranking Beta's.
I have always been average in everything. Academics, athletics- you name it.
I had always stuck to the sidelines while everyone else was actively running for the spotlight. I never felt the need to bring attention to myself, so I stood by and watched.
I watched for years as they tore each other apart in hopes of being noticed by everyone.
There was only one person who never seemed to try.
They made perfection seem so effortless, easily standing in the spotlight without ever calling for it.
Their name was Choi Soomin.
I knew from the moment I first saw them that they were special somehow.
She always spoke out about what she thought was right, and she never seemed to care about what anyone else thought.
I admired her for being able to express her thoughts with no restrictions whatsoever.
It was only by chance and a great deal of luck that we were assigned to a project together.
She was exactly as I imagined she would be.
She was kind, considerate, smart, and so many other things.
She was so amazing that I thought I was dreaming when she first asked me out on a date. She presented as an Alpha only a few months later, but it didn't change anything, not to us.
It was about a month after we first started dating that I noticed a few things.
Soomin would rush out the door whenever she got a call. She would almost always come home covered in dirt and minor bruises.
After multiple attempts at asking her about it, she finally told me.
About RASFAW, their purpose, and her position.
When she was done explaining, she asked me to join her and become a Monitor.
Monitors are basically assistants to Founders. They can only be hand picked by Founders. They're the only ones to know the Founders' identities, so there aren't many of them.
I accepted, and after a while, I became a Committee member.
No one knew about my status as a Monitor, but it was safer that way.
Soomin and I fell into a routine and I proposed.
Everything seemed to go extremely well for a while. I had a wife, we both worked day and night to help others from the shadows, and after a couple of years, we had a son.
I had finally created a family of my own and we seemed unstoppable.
Unfortunately, life has a cruel way of reminding you of reality.
Soomin had quite a few enemies, both from jealousy and annoyance.
As the perfect Alpha woman with a sense of kindness and empathy towards those of lower ranks, many were either jealous of her, or angry at her for getting in their way.
I was so blinded by our seemingly happy lives that I was completely oblivious to the threats being sent to us.
There were texts, calls, and even thugs sending death threats.
Being overly busy with RASFAW and Jungkook, I didn't spare any time to assess the threats until it was too late.
I almost lost everything that night- the night I lost her instead.
It was abrupt and sudden. We were sleeping when we heard it, the cry of a distressed child.
Soomin and I woke up immediately at the sound and we rushed down the hall to find Jungkook on the floor with his arm bleeding.
It was a disturbing sight to see. Our [six] year old child, bleeding out on the floor of his bedroom with a man three times his size charging at him with a knife.
I was stuck in my place by the terror and shock that filled me to the core.
Soomin's Alpha instincts on the other hand forced her to take immediate action.
She jumped at the attacker with claws and fangs drawn. She growled at me to get to Jungkook and I finally snapped out of it.
I ran towards Jungkook's crying form on the floor and pulled him into a hug to keep him from freaking out further. Just as I pulled him into the corner, another man came in through the door.
Jungkook flinched in my arms when the door slammed back open.
The noise caught Soomin's attention and she lunged towards the second man.
When the first started standing up, I whispered to Jungkook to stay still and keep quiet before jumping up and punching them.
Everything was complete chaos and I could barely keep up.
My body was practically on auto pilot and I have never been so thankful to have Soomin teach me to fight.
It was only when I heard a scream of pain that it went downhill.

I meant for this PoV to last for only one chapter, but it turned into three, so there will be a bit more surprises in the next two chapters. Sorry if they all seem short too.
