the doorbell rings. repeatedly. prince and i go to answer it. when i open it an angry lady is there. "um can we help you" i ask. "jacob" she says holding her hips. i look at prince. "ummm hi. mom" he smile. "wait your my other mom?" i ask. she looks at me and hate fills in her eyes. "this is the reason you didn't come home for christmas???" "in my defense i invited all of you guys to come over for christmas like everybody else's families but you said cause my other mom was gonna be here" he says. "pack your bags" she says. "what?" i ask. "pack your bags we're leaving" she says. "MOOMMMM" i yell. she comes. "what is it ho.." she stops when she sees prince's mom. "um hello" she says. his mom stomps in. "which is your room" she says. "mom" he says. she storms upstairs we follow her. roc, ray ,Christopher,lo,reg, crystal and ebby look at us. i shake my head. and follow upstairs. by the time i get upstairs she's found his room and is packing everything up. prince and i look at each other. "mom please" he begs. "no" she says. she starts pulling him out. i manage to hug him. "please don't take him lets think about this have some tea" my mom says. "tea? for stealing my husband.." she starts. my anger rises. "she didn't steal him you got divorced they fell in love had me and your whole family plus his family hated us ever sinse. you need to except the fact the moved on before he died" i yell at her. mom hugs me telling me to stop. "and who's fault is that" she says looking at me. my heart drops. she keeps pulling prince. the door slams and we just stand there in silence. "did she just blame daddy's death on me??" i ask mom. she shakes her head. "no sweetie" she says. i know she's lying. "it's not my fault" i say. " i know" she says. "it's not" i repeat. christopher comes over and hugs me. " we all know it's not your fault.. tell you what how about you dry those tears and thing of those amazing twins your gonna have and how much of a better mom your gonna be than her. huh" he smiles at me. i look up at him. "o..ok" i say. he dries my tears and leads me to roc. "pregnancy... a bit more emotional than normal" he whispers. roc nods. he hugs me. "chris?" i ask. he looks at me. i signal for him to bend down showing i want to ask him something. he nods. "are you still gonna propose to mom tonight?" i whisper. " i don't know it seems like a good day" he says. "it is you can do it here i have the perfect plan" i say. he smiles at me. "thats my girl" he smiles. my smile falls. "well prince and i came up with it last night" i say. "well he would love it if you told me" he says. i nod. "mom can you need to relax how bout you go to the spa" i say. "but i don't" she starts. "i'll pay" christopher says. we look at her pleadingly. "ok" she says. he gives her his card. "take your time" roc says. "ok so here's the plan" i say once shes gone.

*5 hours later* *7pm*
i fix my dress. as i look at roc. he's fixing his tux. i sigh. "don't you wish prince was here?" i ask. he nods. "he's my best friend of course plus it's his mom too" he says. i nod. "she's here" ebby yells. "chris" i say. knocking on my bathroom door. " i don't know kelsey what if she says no" he says through the door. "open this door right now" i say. the door unlocks. i walk in. "look i've only known you for three days but i know she loves you and you love. you a nice handsome man she would love to spend the rest of her life with. someone i would i love to see her with someone who can act like you did earlier like a father. both me and mom need that" i say. he nods. "for a 16 year old your deep and you know what's important" he smiles. i smile back and hug him. "come down stairs dinner in 5" i say. he nods. "what is going on" mom asks. " just a normal dinner" i say. "why so dressed up?" she asks. "i invited christopher for dinner" i say. "oh ok" she says. chris comes down just as we are sitting. "wow you look beautiful" he smiles at mom. "thank you" she smiles. crystal comes in with the main course.

"um ill go get desert" i say. i go get the jelly. it's set into the whine lookalike glasses. one of them is special for mom it has a ring in it. i find it. my phone rings. it's princeton asking for facetime. i answer. "hey oh my god are you ok?" i ask. "um yah of course" he says. i can tell he's lying. "well your just in time christopher's about to propose" i whisper. he smiles. "keep me on" he says. i nod. take the tray full of desert to everyone. i make sure mom gets the one with the ring. as we eat we all keep our eyes on her. "what is there something on my face? she asks. we shake our heads. she takes another spoon full. she looks at the cup weirdly. she picks up the ring. we all smile. christopher kneels. i point the phone to mom again so prince can see. "temeka will you marry me he ask" mom looks at us. i point at the phone and prince is waving. she goes even more emotional when she sees him. "yes of course a millon times yes" she says he puts the ring on her finger and they kiss. i feel the babies kick i gasp and laugh to my self. "YAY" prince smiles. we look at each other. i walk to a place more privet. "will you be able to come see us?" i ask. he sadly shakes his head. "but what about the babies. your the uncle" i say. "i'l try my best to be there i promise" he says. "jacob" i hear his mom call. "sorry kels gotta go tell her i said congratulations" he says. i nod and he hangs up.
