I say some nono words be careful .o.
Okok I know I need to finish this. It's just so hard because there are so many different ways I could end it and I can't choose. Plus writer's block is a bitch.
Anyway here's a story from yesterday that legit happened.
So I was out all day with my family (mom and siblings) and right before we got home we stopped at a gas station right by my house. My older brother pumped the gas while my mother and I went in to grab some drinks and some candy for my three younger sisters.
So we get in and get the things we need, but the line at the register is a bit long. So we stand there and wait, meanwhile our hands are freezing off from the cold drinks. Anyway back on topic.
So this lady walks in without a mask to go to the bathroom, and the lady at the register says, "Ma'am, you need to wear a mask."
And the lady responds with, "I don't care I need to pee." Now her tone of voice was the most 'idgaf' attitude I've ever heard. Honestly she kinda sounded high, but that's not the point.
ANYWAY.
So finally my mother and I get to the register and begin to pay, and the lady comes out of the bathroom. She grabs a Mountain Dew Code Red (Be More Chill) and goes to pay. The lady at the register says yet again, "Ma'am I'm sorry but you're required to wear a mask in here."
Now the lady yet again replies with no. "I'm pregnant and I don't want to."
The cashier didn't say much after this, but my mom definitely did. She went on and on antagonizing the lady. Now lemme give y'all a description. She basically looked like a raisin. Her tan was extremely fake and her hair was the color of like...a wine stained carpet.
My mom says things like, "I hope you like spreading germs" and went on and on. Honestly at that point I was so embarrassed so I don't really remember much of the details. Everything happened really fast. Quite honestly, I just wanted to go sip my drink in my car.
So obviously they got into a fight. Not physical, but definitely verbal. The lady blocked the exit and my mom was a good five or six feet away from her. I was standing behind my mother wishing I was literally anywhere else.
Then, the lady starts to walk towards my mom. My mom backs away, bumping me out of the way. Basically what happened was she backed my mom across the store. Meanwhile I'm still over by all the Reece's Cups wonder what in God's name is going on.
Honestly the cashier was wondering the same thing.
But here's where it gets semi-interesting.
So the lady goes to leave the store and she walks past me, but then she stops.
She turns around, firmly grabs my upper left arm, looks me dead in the eyes and says, "You have a great day."
bRUH this woman's face was not even 5 inches from mine. Now it doesn't sound that scary or unbelievable when I write it down, but then think about my perspective.
This pregnant old raisin woman just grabbed me after backing my mom across the store. Like bitch wHaT?
Oh, but it gets EVEN better. So for some reason the lady holds the door open for us and I book it to the car. I climb into the passenger seat and immediately lock the door. My brother, who is in the driver's seat, asked me wtf just happened, so I filled him in.
Meanwhile my mother and this Karen are dueling it out in the Sunoco Gas Station parking lot (Again this was all verbal there was no physical violence). My three sisters are in the back laughing because they don't know what's going on.
Honestly side note I loved the cashier so much. Like my mom and Karen (idk her real name) were yelling and she's just over here like, "LADIES WE ARE ADULTS LETS ACT LIKE IT." But I also felt lowkey kinda bad because she looked like not even 25. Imagine that, you work at a gas station and just want to get in and get out as quickly as possible, but then you're trying to break up a fight and call the police--which she did do.
Anyway so the cashier's words of wisdom didn't work, because Karen then licked her hand and dragged it along the front of my mom's car. And thank God I locked the door because she then tried to open the back door where my ten year old sister was sitting. Like bruh what the actual fuck?
After five more minutes of her leaning on the back of my mom's car, she finally left. We stayed a whole extra ten minutes figuring out if my mom wanted the cops to come or not. She said we'd go to the police office ourselves to file a report, so we just left.
We didn't file a statement, though. Kinda glad, honestly, because even though Karen took it way too freaking far, my mom shouldn't have antagonized her in the first place. She's lowkey a Karen too but we're not gonna talk about that.
Literally the whole time I was so embarrassed. Like when I'm in public no matter how much someone pisses me off, I won't say anything because I just want to go home. Like, bruh.
Also apparently my mother didn't catch the part where she grabbed me, but the cashier did and she was all like, "yOU LEAVE THAT GIRL ALONE!" so yeah another reason to love that cashier.
Anyway, what did we get out this entire experience?
Soda, candy, and a car wash.
Moral of the story: Don't antagonize Karen.
If you made it this far, congrats! Anyways, a new chapter is in the works, I promise. It's just a very slow process. Cya later, lads! -Manzana
