A flash of white,
Then the lights go out,
Swallowed by darkness,
With no way outAn infinite void,
An end with no end,
Left all alone,
You're upend with no friendYou think about the past,
And the mistakes that you'd made, You look at your life,
And the price you've paidThinking of times when you left,
When you should have stayed,
Of the loves you'd lost,
Though feelings wouldn't fadeMemories of moments,
Past way to fast,
Unable be captured,
Though there impact was vastAll the times you were pained,
And felt no one had your back,
You was fragile is glass,
You were ready to crackThe times you laid and cried,
And tried swallow your tears,
No matter how hard you tried,
You couldn't hide them your peersTimes that you wanted,
To scream and shout,
But bottled it up only to pout,
Then couldn't even remember
what it was all aboutDecisions you'd made,
That you have come to regret,
The Times you should have acted,
And people you could have metPeople you wronged,
Though it felt right,
Choices you made,
That kept you up all nightYou were self absorbed,
To the point of dillusion,
All your actions did,
Was cause more confusionUnexpectedly Life ends,
Now where did the time go,
Oh what I've left unaccomplished,
And wrongs I'd failed sewAll my pains and afflictions,
That I'd carried on my back,
I think they've dragged me to hell
Because all I see is blackAcceptance is found,
With no one around,
Then my ears began to ring,
With a glorious soundThe darkness is consumed,
By an infinite bright,
And Angels danced,
On clouds of whiteThe gates open,
And they let me in,
Without a word,
They absolved me my sinGreeted by God
What a glorious day,
He bent at the knee
And he did say,I'm sorry for all,
To you that I've done,
It wasn't in spite nor was it in fun,
I loved you so you are my sonMy heart sang and I cried,
I'm so undeserving is all I replied,
He fought an urge a smile did hide
But you couldn't deny his love no matter how hard you triedAt last he exclaims ,
That judgements been cast,
I was absolved of my sins,
And the wrongs of my pastI asked God Why had he shown such mercy on me?
What had I done that made me so worthy,
He said it wasn't his choice,
That it came to be,But only my judge,
And my judge was me,
I'd forgiven myself,
And that was the key,
To a life everlasting An eternity!
