A fires been burning,
In the heart of the heart,
Reflecting your demons,
And all that there worth
Whispers blown,
from the heat within,
Questions posed for you,
and your friend,
" What's that you said? "
" Can you say it again? "
" I didn't say anything, "
You say to your friend,
The winds playing tricks,
Cause it happens again,
Now its spooked you both,
Both you and your friend
But what it speaks,
It plays with you head,
Its dug up the demons,
That you've put to bed
The demons are hungry,
They've needed fed,
They feed off your emotions,
Now they've got in your head
You jump and flinch,
At the faintest sound,
You look to your friend,
But he's nowhere around
Confused and confounded,
Now how could that be?
He was just sitting here,
He was right next to me
Your trembling though you,
Find courage to search the house,
It just you and the fire,
That with water you doused
You open your mind,
You search through your head,
Then you encounter that demon,
And this is what he said
You remember what it was,
to me you've done,
My life you took,
And robbed me from my son
The closets open,
The skeletons out,
You remember the ditch,
You'd dug when you dug it out
Buried with earth,
A secret from your past,
The memories fade,
But the torment lasts
You think about what,
Was buried in that ground,
And then you realize why,
Your friend is no longer around!
