In all that we do
Theres a lesson to be learned
For our actions pose questions
And their answers be yearned
Though often were blinded
Competely unaware
Until the damage thats done
Is too much to bare
With the knowledge we acheive
We sob and we greive
Taunted by life
It's hard to believe
Another heart's been broken
And happiness be theived
You wish to go back
Let the weave be unspun
There isn't a thing you wouldn't do
Just to change the outcome
But it's sad to say whats done
Cant be undone
Theres no price to pay
As life is firm and set in its ways
The things we do last
Forever they stay
The answers you earned
as your lesson was learned
begin to eat you away like a fire it burns
To consume all of you it yearns
For some it may fester
And worsen with time
For others it may beat you
Like Tyson in his prime
Its stamina and endurance
Is second to none
It's impossible to hide
And there nowhere run
You refuse to embrace it
Because it imposes judgements on your past
It shows the errors of your ways
And has a finality that lasts
Theres no two lessons that will be the same though often familiarities will bring you to shame and they wont lighten up they aim to maim
Dont feel ashamed
To embrace the blame
Because Accepting reponsibiliy
Is the first step to humility
If we learn from our past
And what the lessons hast
We can overcome heartache
And find a love that lasts
