*Hinata's POV*
Every weekend.
Every. Single. Hour.
"Can we meet up?" I sighed, rubbing my tired eyes. "It's noisy in here."
After hearing an okay from him, I sneaked out of the house and got onto my bike, cycling to our usual meet up place.
It's my first year in Karasuno and my parents arguing about custody has not ended since I started middle school.
I met up with Kageyama and sat at the railing, facing the sea while he stood next to me.
"Hinata?"
"Same thing."
He nodded, the atmosphere having a peaceful silence. One that I've been craving for a while now. During times like these, no words being spoken was fine.
"School starts tomorrow. How's... Your condition?" He seemed to hesitate for a while because he knew I didn't like talking about it. "Is it better now?"
I nodded. Liar. "Yeah.. that visit last weekend helped. Though as a precaution, Doc gave me a prescription." It didn't. I'm still craving to scream my lungs out, tell you everything.
"Anti-depressants.. and sleeping pills, right?"
I nodded. "Yeah."
He shifted, coming closer. "Don't think I'll be going easy on you at club practice by the way."
I chuckled, an empty sound. "How can you be sure that we'll be accepted right away?"
"We've been friends since forever BOKE!" Kageyama proceeds to punch me in the arm playfully. "And I know we'll get along with the others too."
"Yeah.. I'm sure we will."

About a month has passed.
Me and Kageyama had joined Karasuno's volleyball club. It was a lot of fun. And for once, I enjoyed myself genuinely.
"BOKE HINATA BOKE!!!"
I dodged Kageyama's speedy hand attempting to pin me down.
"I'M SORRYYY!!!" I wailed, hiding behind Sugawara. "I didn't mean to miss your toss!! Waahh!"
"H-hey.. Kageyama, stop.. Daichi's gonna get mad at you." Sugawara's soft voice filled the chaotic air. "Tanaka stop terrorizing the kid..." He sighed as Tanaka kept staring daggers at me.
We could have scored if I'd had paid more attention.
"Hinata," Kageyama's voice startled me. He sighed before continuing. "Can we talk? Outside?"
I nodded, following him out of the gym.
"What's with the marks on your wrists?"
He.. noticed...? Surprised, I stumbled over my words. "It's.. they're... Old wounds.."
"From what? Falling off your bike?" His eyes went from looking at my wrists to my face and back again.
"Y-yeah.."
"Don't. Lie."
I froze, not knowing what to say. His annoyed tone had disappeared and was replaced by anger and frustration.
"Be honest with me here, Hinata." He sighed, gently caressing my scars. "What happened?"
Someone asked how I felt for once. I thought no one would notice the pain I hide behind my smile. I really want to tell you everything. "I'm.. Fine.. Nothing happened.." I tried my best not to cry.
His grip tightened around my arm. "Hinata.. Please."
"Ow..."
Upon realizing, he loosened his grip and sighed. Sadder this time. "Hinata, you know I care for you right? Please.. Don't do this to yourself.. Tell me.. Please?"
"N-not now Kageyama... I just.. Can't," I didn't meet his eye. "Not yet."
"Fine," Kageyama released his grip on my arm. "But tell me once in a while.."
I nodded and just as we were done, Daichi was looking for us.
"Come on you two! Practice is gonna start."
