▸▸ Late Morning...
I huffed as I finally got down the last step. I should've taken the chance when Kris offered to carry my downstairs before he left. I snapped at him but I didn't mean to and he left so I had to walk downstairs by myself. It's concerning and a bit dangerous seeing how far along I am but I'm careful as hell and have been in this entire pregnancy so I'm fine.
I took a breather before I walked—well waddled to the kitchen opening the fridge to see absolutely nothing. I told him to stock up on food yesterday when he was out.
Kristian was so adamant about me not going anywhere or moving around too much that he said he'll pick up the stuff I do around the house. Well he's failed so far since there are no groceries. I sighed thinking he's done nothing else too. I bet he's been on that damn game, it's like he's married to it and not me.
One year married and I still can't believe it. He said it was only right before someone had the chance to take me away which I'd never let happen. I still remember how hard I cried when we were saying our vows and how we danced that entire night whispering to each other.
I laughed at the thought considering it was so sweet that we didn't bicker or anything like usual. It's our thing— constantly getting hostile towards each other but switching back to our affectionate side. God, I love him so much.
But as I'm looking at this empty refrigerator, I just wanna curse his ass out. Matter of a fact, I'll do it now. I walked as fast as I could, which is not much to the home phone. Anybody could tell this is Kristian's baby, she eats just like her daddy—slowing me down and making me look fat.
I picked up the phone dialing his number waiting on him to pick up. I don't care if he's at football practice or whatever, he promised he was gonna do this and didn't even commit to it. He's gonna get a mouthful from me.
"Baby, I'm at work right now—."
"Kristian Canuo! You were supposed to take care of the groceries, what happened to that?", I walked around the house seeing if he did the other stuff and lo and behold the damn laundry isn't done neither. There's buckets of clothes lined up against the wall along with baby stuff that needed to be unwrapped.
"Élie Canuo! I ain't have time but I promise you imma get it done when I get home later tonight."
"Oh, but you had time to be on the game though? I've told you about that shit Kris, you're like an addict for that thing! It's part of the reason of why you're not getting that new PlayStation at all neither," I heard him groan and mumble on about how much he needed it.
