I sighed in my hands as I watched people move hurriedly across the restaurant. It was finally opening night and I was nervous as hell. It's not really nothing to be nervous about but more so proud. I'm a black man who's not only successful in the world of sports but now I'm putting my investments and heart into a business that I built myself. I got to be a lot be proud of but I ain't say that was the part I was nervous about.

No, it's not even the critics or other celebrities that'll be coming here but more so my own fiance. Ever since he told me about all the baby mess and what he wanted, I've been avoiding him and it's been awkward around the house lately. Yesterday I got the little voicemail he left me and my heart had dropped even more.

I never want to hear my baby sound like that and I was happy whether he realized it or not that he would still be coming here to celebrate this moment with me. If anything, I can't even stand to be mad anymore because if it continues it'll just break up the love we have. And that's something I would never be able to survive.

"Mr. Gates, the line to the entrance is literally filing all the way down to the next block. We will have a full house in not even ten minutes after we open. What would you like me to do next sir?", my planner, Cassie said as she spoke to people in her earphone.

"Let's make sure everyone in the back are prepared for the flood and then you can open up the doors on my cue."

"Yes sir, I'll be right back!", she zoomed off to the kitchen area as I chuckled walking to stand beside the entrance. I straightened out my tux taking a few breathers as I heard my name being called. Cassie gave a thumbs up and I signaled back. The doors were open by escorts as people started to file in.  I shook a few hands and dapped up my fellow football brothers who came by to support me.

"It's so nice in here Remi, ain't no way in hell Messiah did this," I heard Kaleem big mouth ass as he walked in.

"Keep the ghetto at home Key, unless you gon act bougie like normal," he smiled at me leaning in for a hug as I took him and dapped up Remi.

I told one of the waiters to give them a special table as I set one up for everybody else I wanted as I talked to a few more people before seeing to it myself that my employees in the kitchen were alright.

I just hoped this night would be a success.
