She's Back

COLD sweats and heart beat's fast because of how nervous I am for our return demonstration. I've practiced and memorized this for a lot of time. Good thing all of it paid off. Now, guess who's moving to second year? Yes, it's me. It's finally our last week here in the campus. I will surely miss my professors, the subjects, except of course for biochemistry because we don't get along well.

"Grabe, buti nalang na memorized ko kagabi 'yong pinagawa sa akin ni Mrs. Castro," Yumero sighed out of relief. "I will surely get kicked out of the house if I happen to fail the last grading of this semester." he added.

"Congratulations, Erin." my classmates congratulated me because I got the highest score in our demo. I said my thank you's and gave them a smile as we stormed out of our room to have lunch with our friends.

"Iba pala talaga kapag inspired ka, magagawa mong makakuha ng mataas na score." Liza chuckled and she pointed at the direction across us using her lips.

In his archi uniform, that tantalizing look from his large brown eyes, his thick hair which he racks through with his fingers and that cheeky smile that most girls in this campus finds charming and attractive, they all scream perfection. God, why is he so handsome? I couldn't help but to fall deeply in love. This is not good for my cardiovascular system.

Liza went to him for a hug and he returned it, "Saan ka magla-lunch, kuya?"

"Kasama ko sila Ela, I'll just help them with our final project, okay?" Liza nodded her head as an answer and Loey kissed the top of his sister's head. It made my heart flutter. Ang sweet niya sa kapatid niya, paano nalang kaya kapag may girlfriend na 'to sigurado akong pati ang asin lalanggamin.

Napatingin ito sa gawi ko kaya nag panick ako, 'di pa naman ako nakapag retouch. I turned my back at him and I asked Yume kung mukha pa ba akong tao sa ayos ko. Tinawanan lang ako nito at mahinang tinampal ang magkabilang pisngi ko.

"Ayan, mas maganda ang natural girl," he chuckled and even asked me to bite my lower lip a couple of times para daw pumula. "Go, harapin mo na." sabi nito at itinulak ako.

I didn't know na nakalapit na pala ang magkapatid sa pwesto namin kaya nagulat ako at muntikan nang matumba, mabuti nalang at nakabawi ako at agad tuwid na tumayo.

"H-hi," awkward kong sabi kay Loey na nasa harapan ko na ngayon at nakapamulsa. Nagpipigil ito ng tawa, "Para kang nata-tae," kaagad nawala ang ngiti ko sa labi dahil sa sinabi niya. I glared at him but he continued laughing.

"And you just ruined the moment." I rolled my eyes at him.

"Just kidding, you look beautiful," he bit his lower lip as he fixed the strap of his bag on his shoulder. It just made my heart skipped a beat because of happiness. "Sige, aalis na ako." pagpapaalam nito.

I couldn't even look straight to him kasi alam kong kasing pula na ako ng mansanas.

"You guys know that it's Kuya's birthday on May 22 right?" Liza spoked after we started eating our lunch.

We all nod in unison.

"Narinig ko kay mommy na we are going out of town for kuya's birthday." excited na sabi ni Liza.

"Invited ba kami?" Lyn even leaned in just to ask Liza.

"Eh yung future sister-in-law mo, invited?" binalingan ako ng tingin ni Jati.

Kaagad namang namula ang pisngi ko. Oo, magkaibigan kami ni Liza, pero ang awkward pala kapag kaibigan mo ang kapatid ng lalaking gusto mo, isa pa ayokong itake advantage ang sitwayson namin.
