"WHERE do you wanna apply for your fellowship, Doctora?" one of my fellow doctors here in the hospital asked me while we were having our break.

It made me stopped from eating my food and to think deeply. I've been thinking about it for the past months. My life and career here in the Philippines are growing. Ayoko naman na basta-basta nalang itapon 'yon.

Honestly, the fellowship that I've been eyeing is not available here in the Philippines. That's why it became so hard for me. If I plan on pursuing that fellowship, I might just settle outside the Philippines, buy a house there, and live comfortably. I mean, of course, I would still visit the Philippines if I have occasions or errands. New York and Canada are on top of my list where I want to apply for my fellowship.

"I'm still thinking about it. But New York and Canada are where I want to apply." I gave a weak smile. The doctors and some of the interns nods their head in unison, then continued asking the others.

"Bye, Doc!" They bid their goodbyes for me and I did too. I just finished my rounds and I'm just waiting for my brother to come and pick me up. Pinapaayos pa ang sasakyan ko because there was some problem with the engine coolant.

I was waiting outside, I was about to get my phone inside my bag when a car horned for two times and stopped right in front of me. Matatakot na sana ako but when the window rolled down, it revealed the man whom my heart keeps on shouting for. What the hell is he doing here?

"Hi," I awkwardly greeted. I was not expecting this. After what happened in my house we never met again since I also became busy. Si kuya ang nagaasikaso sa lahat, I suddenly felt bad for my brother.

Ngumiti siya pabalik sa akin. "Get in," sabi nito. I was confused at first pero may bumusina sa likod ng sasakyan niya kaya dali-dali akong pumasok at isinuot ang seatbelt. He immediately started the engine.

"Whyㅡ" I am supposed to ask him kung bakit siya nandidito. As if he was thinking what I am thinking sumagot din siya kaagad.

"You're brother asked me to fetch you. Gumuho ang isang building sa Tagaytay at kailangan siya doon."

My eyes widened. Although I'm not familiar with their field of work, sigurado akong kiquestionin ang mga taong involved sa project na iyon, especially the engineers. Especially my brother. I didn't know I was thinking deeply, I only got back to my consciousness when I felt a warm hand caressing my left hand. Napaangat ang tingin ko and met Loey's worried face. Paminsan-minsan ay titingin ito sa akin at agad din namang ibabalik ang tingin niya sa daan.

Mahina niyang pinisil ang kamay ko. "Are you okay? I should've not told that to you,"

My face heated because of the sudden contact. Funny how I still could feel the butterflies in my stomach flapping their wings gracefully, whenever he does something my heart has longed. I had to look away to hide the redness of my cheeks. Seriously, I need to train myself to stop these crazy feelings.

Nahihiyang bumitaw ako mula sa pagkakahawak niya, making him to turn his head towards me. "I'm okay," I whispered, looking through the window.

"We can cancel today's errand if you're not feeling well, Erinayle."

Erinayle. I always like the way he say my name, and it just made my heart skipped a beat. It never sounded so beautiful not when he's the one calling it. "I can manage... Loey. I'll just text my brother, para kahit papaano ay hindi na ako mag-alala pa." I answered without stuttering, despite my heart trying to go out of its rib cage.
