WALKING along the crowded lobby of our company, I was already late, and my mom and sister were already waiting for me.

My gaze landed at my wristwatch, It's already 11:25, and I can hear my stomach growling in hunger. I looked up, in the middle of the crowd, and there stood a very beautiful woman on her oversized white polo, which I think doesn't belong to her, and she paired it with faded jeans. She looked so out of place, yet she seemed so familiar to me. She was staring at something... someone. Nadako ang tingin ko sa tinitignan niya. It was my mom and my sister, and they're together with Governor Soriano and his daughter.

It took me by surprise when someone stepped on my shoes and bumped my chest. It was the same woman before. She lost her balance; good thing my reflexes were fast, and I immediately help her by holding her waist.

Now that I got to take a closer look at her, all I could hear was the fast beating of my heart. The way her eyelashes move and how the light catches her eyes got me captivated. Some strands of her hair were on her face... I wanted to remove those so I could look at her face better. Her outfit did no mercy on her. She's beautiful. So damn beautiful.

"I'm sorry, are you okay?" I asked.

She just nodded her head at me. The way she looked into my eyes, it was as if she was looking into the depths of my soul.

I smiled before I finally let go of her. One step... Two steps...

"Miss Erinayle Evangelista?"

I looked back when I heard that name, tila para bang narinig ko na iyon. The name sounds so familiar that I even looked back to whoever said that. Nakita kong natigilan din ang babae kanina, was that her name? If it is, her name sounds beautiful, just like her.

I saw the woman looked back to where my family was, but she immediately looked away. Liza, on the other hand, kept on looking at the exact location. I followed her gaze and saw the woman making her way out of our company with giant steps.

"Do you know that woman?" I asked my sister curiously.

Liza fidgetted; breaths quickened. I can feel that she was a little hesitant to answer me. "J-just a friend, Kuya." she then turned her back at me.

I couldn't keep up with our lunch meeting. My mind was on another dimension. Her round brown eyes, pinkish lips, and her knitted eyebrows, those features stayed in my mind all afternoon.

"Shaun,"

I can't get her off my mind.

"Kuya," my sister nudge her elbow secretly, drawing my attention.

"Hmm?"

Agad akong napaangat ng tingin. I tilted my head, and my eyes squinted, wondering why they were all staring at me in a way like I'm about to be skinned alive. Napaayos ako ng upo, "Sorry, I was just thinking about something."

I cleared my throat.

"Okay, as I have said..." my mom started the conversation again. "Shaun, this is Steff. She's your fiancé."

My forehead furrowed. Naramdaman ko ring biglang nagulat ang kapatid ko but she remained silent. Hindi ko alam ang dapat kong maramdaman. I feel like I'm obligated and my heart's already belong to someone. I couldn't really explain what I am feeling right now.

I didn't know how I made it home without losing my mind. I feel like mom pulled a prank on me, but no, she didn't. Her stern voice made me shiver. It was like she was pushing the idea inside my head like she was forcing me to remember it all.
