Y/N POV

"Do we really have to leave?" I whined.

"Unfortunately, we do. We have tours to go on soon, interviews, yadda yadda yadda."  Gee sighed. "It's gonna be okay, babe."

"I'm not afraid to punch a reporter, remember that." He chuckled at my slight aggression.

"Neither am I. But it's time to go, we can't miss our flight." I groaned and followed him out of the building. The thought of leaving this beautiful place kills me, but I knew it wouldn't last forever.

We rushed to the car and threw our bags in. The weather here is absolutely awful compared to California, which is why we turned the heat all the way up as soon as the car was started. We buckled up, which was a little hard for me through my shivering.

"We'll come back, don't worry." He reassured me as he began to drive away. "Just think of it this way, we can come back in the summer when it isn't so damn cold."

"I just liked the alone time. No noise, no people; just us." I frowned. "But you're right, the weather does suck.

"We can still have some alone time at the house. We can have a movie night tonight or tomorrow, if you want?" He offered.

"Yeah, that sounds really nice, actually." I smiled. "I love you, Gee. Thank you for this."

"Anything for you, love."

Though it wasn't a super long ride to the airport, I fell asleep. Even though being in a car still frightens me, they make me sleepy.

"Baby, wake up, it's time to go." I heard Gee speak as he lightly shook me. "Babe."

"Fine." I groaned, "But I'm sleeping on the plane."

"So am I, don't worry." He laughed.

"Is Frank picking us up again?" I asked as I got out of the car, still groggy from my nap.

"Yep, he'll be waiting for us." We grabbed our luggage from the back and entered the airport. Our security team was already there waiting for us, thankfully. I didn't feel like dealing with rude bitches today. "He said he's making a sign, which scares me a little."

"Oh dear god, lord only knows what it's going to say." I groaned. I love Frank, but he can be such a child sometimes.

After going through security, we grabbed our carry-ons and boarded the plane. Thankfully, we have first-class tickets, so we weren't bothered by anyone except the stewardess when she would ask if we needed anything.

Like I already told Gee, I planned on sleeping the entire flight, which I did. I woke up when we landed, my head resting on his shoulder.

"Home already?" I asked as I stretched.

"Technically, no, we're still on a plane. But yes, we're back." He chuckled.

"Okay, smartass." I rolled my eyes and waited for the plane to come to a complete stop so we could get off.

As much as I loved our mini vacation, I was happy to be back home. I missed the guys and I missed our music. Besides, Gee and I still get alone time at home.

We entered the airport and grabbed our bags, then searched for Frank. The short shit was only easy to find by the sign he was holding over his head that read "Mr. & Mrs. Sassypants" on it. Asshole.

"Sassypants, huh? I'm fine with it, I suppose." I smirked, hugging him as we reached him.

"Good, because I thought long and hard about what to write on this thing!" Frank exclaimed.

"Of course you did." Gerard giggled. "Let's go home."

We walked out of the airport and followed Frank to his car. Getting into cars before this trip was terrifying for me, but I don't feel that same fear. I'm learning to accept what happened and just move on. It was a freak accident and there was nothing Gerard or I could do to stop it from happening.

"Babe, you good?" Gerard asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. I'd been so zoned out that I didn't even notice we were halfway home already.

"Yeah, I'm good! Jet-lag, I guess." I smiled.

"If you say so." He shrugged. "Frank, you wanna stay for dinner?"

"Nah, man. I'm going out with Jamia tonight. Thanks for the offer though!" He replied.

"Ooh, have fun!" I winked as we pulled up to our house. "Thank you, Frank."

"No problem guys. See you soon!" He waved to us as we got out and walked up to our house.

I took in the view around us as Gee unlocked the door. The flowers I had planted were blooming, the colors so vibrant and lively. The grass a bright, healthy green. The trees that lined the road swaying in the light breeze. This is real. I am alive. Gee is alive.

"What do you think about getting a cat?" I asked out of the blue as we walked into our home.

"A cat?" I set down my bags on the floor and walked up to him, wrapping my arms around him.

"Yeah, a cat. We need an animal in here and cats are much easier to take care of." I shrugged.

"I mean, it wouldn't be a bad idea. How about we go to the shelter tomorrow and pick one out? We can go out to eat and shopping for the cat beforehand." He grinned as he stared into my eyes, his hands never leaving my waist.

"That sounds absolutely fantastic."
