Angelica pulled me down the stairs and into the kitchen where my mom and dad were sitting at the table.
"Good morning Ashley" My mom said as she rose from the table walking toward the kitchen counter. As if on cue, the toaster popped up and she placed the toast on two small plates. "Here you go girls" She said as she set the plates down at the kitchen island.
"Morning mom, morning dad" Angelica and i said; almost in sync.
"Thank you for the food mom" I said as i sat down in front of one of the plates.
"Of course" She said happily as she sat down in her usual spot next to my dad at the table as my dad looked up from his phone and smiled at her. My parents were extremely close, their love was the only reason that i still think that true romance is real.
I quickly ate my toast, god I love food, when my ringtone started playing, it was lily.
"yo" I said picking up the phone
"Hey bitch" she responded, "Me, Tessa, and Brent are here to pick you and Angie up, we're not picking up Cole today because he has a ride with Joel"
Joel was Cole's friend. I didn't know him very well, but Lily had a crush on him for years.
"Oh okay ill tell angelica and we'll be out there in just a sec" I responded and hung up the phone.
" Okay Lily is here, so we gotta go. love you mom, love you dad!" i shouted as i ran towards the door and Angelica sprinted after me.
"Love you honey!!" both of my parents yelled back in sync.
I opened the door and walked out, revealing Lily's car. I sprinted over to the car and pulled open the door to the backseat and sat in the middle seat beside Tessa. Lily was driving the car and Brent was in the front passenger seat.
"What up" Angelica said as she sat down
"I am so excited for school this year" Tessa said looking over at the two of us. She had beautiful green eyes and short wavy black hair.
