Chapter 5

Payton's POV

The movie finished and Ash was leaning on my shoulder while Tessa was laying on her stomach with her arms around her, asleep.

"It looks like I'm stuck," Ashley giggled looking down at Tessa and then up at me.

"It appears so" I laughed.

She then tried to sit up, but failed and fell back on my shoulder.

"Having trouble there?" I asked, trying to hold in a laugh....I failed, but that doesn't matter.

"Yeah, yeah. Shut it," You could tell she wanted to hit my arm but she was stuck with Tessa, "assistance please?" she looked up at me and made a pouty face.

Aww that's cute, how can i not help her. Or...I could tease her. That'd be even funnier.

Ashley's POV

"Assistance please?" I asked Payton with a pleading look. He started shifting to move when he suddenly just stopped, with a smirk appearing on his face. Then he got up from the couch causing me to fall off his shoulder. Now Tessa was almost completely laying on me.

"Okay, now get her off" I giggled.

"Hmmm, no," He responded.

"What?" My face dropped.

"Looks like you're stuck," Angelica laughed.

"Payt please get me outttt" I whined.

"Why should I?" He questioned smirking.

"Good karma?" I said, more like a question.

"I guess I'll get you out, but you owe me missy," He laughed.

"Thank the lord, she's practically crushing my organs," I fake wheezed.

He walked over and took Tessa's arms off of my torso. He then put hands under my arms and dragged me out from underneath Tessa and stood me up.

"Grassy-ass sir," I thanked him.

"Grassy ass?" He asked.

"Y'know gracias, like spanish, but grassy ass..." I said realizing how strange the phrase I've been using for years really was.

"Wait I never realized how weird it was that we all said that," Lily laughed. Everyone was standing up now except Tessa who was somehow still asleep on the sofa.

"What time is it?" Cole asked, pulling out his phone.

I took my phone out of my pocket.

"7:42" I responded, "What time are you guys leaving?"

"No idea," Payton laughed, "But I should probably go soon because I only saw my mom for like five seconds today."

"Yeah sorry for stealing you from your family," Brent chuckled.

"Nah it's cool. I had a great time with you guys," He looked at me, "Thank Tessa for inviting me when she wakes up," He said, accentuating Tessa's name.

"Okay, I'm so sorry that Tessa came up with the idea to invite you and I didn't," I said, my voice thick with sarcasm.

"Okay, okay. Stop fighting, what are you guys? an old married couple?" Angelica asked giggling.

"Of course we are, didn't you know?" I giggled.

"Yeah, it's been 27 years since that day," Payton said, doing a fake old man voice.

"Yep, since the day you ruined my life," I snickered in my fake old lady impersonation.

"Okay grandma and grandpa, it's time for us to go home," Cole laughed.

"Awwww" Angelica whined, "No you guys can't leave!"

"Huh? Leave?" Tessa groaned, waking up from her nap, "Who's leaving what's happening?" She asked. Her eyes weren't even all the way open yet.

"We gotta go Tessa," Lily answered.

"Wait, before you go we need to figure out how we're all getting to school tomorrow," I interrupted.

"Um, well I'm driving Tessa, Brent, and Cole. I have space in the car for one other person, but that's kinda it..." Lily frowned.

"Aight, you guys can go together and I can drive Angelica and Payton in my car," I responded, "We already live a lot farther from you guys, so this'll be easier for you too," I said. "Any objections?"

"Sounds good to me," Payton replied.

"That should work," Brent stated, nodding his head.

"Seems like a plan," Angelica smiled.

"Okay so that's what we're gonna do," I gave a toothy smile.

"Oh and Payton, we can just drop you off at your house now if you want since it's just down the road," Lily added.

"Yeah I'd like that, thanks," He replied.

Tessa stood up from the couch, "are we going now then?" She asked.

"Yep let's go," Brent answered.

We all exchanged hugs and everyone headed out of the front door and into the car. Me and Angelica stood in the doorway and waved as they drove off.

Also it's Payton's Birthday today, so mu husband is officially 17! Happy birthday Payt!
