After about four months it was finally december. Nothing really changed much, we all hung out from time to time, but Payton occasionally had to miss our hangout sessions to meet up with Serenity. Sometimes, she would just tag along to wherever we were going as well.
I was cuddled up in my blanket drinking hot chocolate on the couch watching bad Hallmark movies when Angelica came down the stairs, phone in hand.
"Group's gonna be over in 10 minutes," She said, sitting down next to me.
"So you're saying I have to change out of my banana pajamas?" I sighed.
"Not necessarily," She laughed.
I chucked and attempted to unwrap myself from the blanket. After standing up, I went to walk away, but my foot got caught in the blanket and I tripped onto my face.
"Owww," I whined, grabbing the table to pull myself up from the ground.
"Jesus Ashley, are you okay?" Angelica gasped.
"Yeah I'm good," I groaned as I squeezed my eyes shut. I unscrunched my face and held my nose as I began to walk towards my room. I stepped into the room and closed the door behind me. I quickly turned the lock. I learned my lesson from Payton rudely intruding on me before, so from then on, I always locked the door.
I walked over to my dresser and picked out a simple outfit

I left my room and went back down to the living room to find everyone already sitting on the couch.
"I thought they were gonna be here in ten minutes?" I furrowed my eyebrows at Angelica.
"I'm bad with time, what do you expect?" She shrugged at me.
"You got a problem with us being here early?" Payton teased.
"No. It's just Angelica's a dirty liar." I laughed.
"So do we have any plans for today?" Tessa stood and smiled.
"You tell me," I yawned, plopping down on the couch next to Cole, taking Tessa's previous spot.
"We could go out to the roller skating rink," Lily suggested.
"Sounds good to me," I stood back up.
"I can't rollerskate for shit though," Payton furrowed his eyebrows.
"Ash is really good at roller skating. She could probably help," Lily said.
"I'm mediocre at best," I raised my eyebrows at her. The truth is, I was good at roller skating, but I knew what she was trying to do, and I wasn't having it. Payton had a girlfriend.
