Harley spun around to see Lylia landing gently on the ground behind him, Gloom following. "Lylia!" he gasped, not knowing that she was being controlled by Alice. "You have no idea how glad I am to see you. Where- aah!" Before he could finish, Lylia sent Gloom out to attack him. Thankfully, Harley's reflexes were still sharp and he dodged the attack.

"What is going on?" he panted in between attacks. Lylia was now stronger than him after all that training in the Abyss, and it was draining Harley to keep her away. "Why are you doing this?"

Lylia smiled, the same smile that Harley had fallen for, and said, "It is my duty to protect the Abyss, the roots of my people." Lylia rose into the air and continued, "What should this place be to me? The people here have bullied me and taunted me for being Darkborn as if it was my choice. Why should I choose to protect it?" Then, she threw a shadow ball right in front of Harley, narrowly hitting him.

"Lylia, I really don't want to hurt you, and I'm sorry!" Harley replied regretfully. "But this is too much." He threw his final flaming ring at her, trapping her within it. Lylia shrieked as the flames licked at her.

"Fall back!" Alice had noticed her from above and wanted to save one of her best warriors. "Fall back!" she called. Gradually, the surviving demons left the ravaged academy, flying off into the night.
