It was no movie-star kiss, but in some way, it was the best kiss in the world.

Harley felt Lylia give a startled squeak and for one terrifying moment, it felt like she wasn't going to return it.

But she did.

She kissed back with an unexpected ferociousness and her hands found their way to Harley's hair. Harley smiled against her mouth as his hands wrapped around her. His Little Witch. His best friend. His Lylia.

Suddenly, he felt her body go limp in his arms. Looking up, he broke the kiss to see Lylia staring up at him, dazed. This time, her eyes were back to grey. He heaved a sigh of relief and grinned down at her.

"You okay?" he asked.

"Tired," Lylia sighed. Her eyes fluttered shut as she leaned against Harley. "Sleep."

He smiled gently. "Okay, Lylia," he said to her softly, "Rest." Lylia let out another small sigh and her mouth curled up slightly at the edges.

"Sweet dreams," Harley whispered. He glanced towards Nana's body, wondering if he should get her too. But his hands were full with the sleeping Lylia. No, he would go down first, and come back later. As gently as a falling leaf, he cast a spell that let him drift down to the ground. Light on his feet, he landed next to Harith.

Harith took one look at Lylia and cheered, "You kissed her! Nice!"

Harley blushed and ducked his head. "Now is not the time!" he replied, but not as angrily as he would have.

Barats turned and told him, "You need to get her out of here, where it's safe. We can handle this."

"But, Nana-" Harley objected, but both his friends waved his concerns away and instructed him to leave. Harley looked at Lylia's peaceful expression and nodded firmly. Without another word, he sped away.
