You felt daggers being thrown at your head when you gained consciousness. Muscles on your face twitched, making it more painful then it already had been. "Finally-I thought you were dead." A voice cooed as two brawny arms hoisted you to the diner's chair.

"Ugh- what the hell happened?" You blinked, allowing your eyes adjust to the light.

"I told you to stop with the drinks but someone thought they can handle the entire bottle on her own." You heard Ruby chuckle.

Finally everything leisurely gathered into your vision. You were slumping into a chair in Granny's Diner with Ruby and Jefferson sitting at both your sides. On the counter were bottles of drinks and the ground had shattered pieces of your glass. Oh, from the looks of it- you knew immediately it all happened cause of that call.

"That damn phone call..." You growled, struggling to your feet.

"What phone call?" Jefferson asked.

"It's nothing," Ruby replied, staggering behind you to make sure you wouldn't plummet anytime soon.

"No- I want to know. What was the phone call about?" Jefferson pursued the both of you.

"It was Gold," you hummed.

"What'd he say?" He raised a brow. You went soundless, gradually fading into a daze.

Ruby hesitated and glanced at you, "She didn't pay the house to the full-"

"I couldn't," you retorted, sighing. "Not with all the crap that's been going on."

"You could probably stay with me and Granny is I convince her," The red lipped girl murmured, cupping your shoulder. You were still somewhat tipsy but you smiled at her.

"No that's crazy, you're apartment is too small." Jefferson snapped. Ruby scowled at the man, her brows furrowing. "(Y/N), why don't you
stay with me? I mean- I have a big house and the station is closer to my place-"

"Well her job's closer to my place." Ruby rejoined irately.

"Yah- cause you live in it."

Ruby bunched her sleeves up to her elbow and balled her fists, stepping up to the man. You instantaneously stretched your hand out as you stood- nearly tripping. Both the man and woman caught you before you landed face first and towed you back to your feet. "God- how many shots did I take?"

"Enough to trip on flat ground." Ruby teased. "Alright- you can take her to your house but call in once you're home. I think she'll be hung-over at work tomorrow."

"Oh shut up- I'm skilled with this kind of-"you hiccupped, "stuff."

Jefferson chuckled gently, straightening your stance as he took of his scarf and wrapped it around your neck. "I hope you don't plan on vomiting anytime soon." He laughed, draping your jacket over your shoulders.

"I make no-"you hiccupped again, "promises."

With laughter and a wave goodbye, the man took you into his car and strapped you into your seat. You had utterly no idea how long it took but you passed out for the entire drive. All you could hear is the soft music playing in Jefferson's car and the brilliant aroma of rose petals.
You were then woken up by the man and sent into the stunning mansion, not entirely aware you wore another layer of Jefferson's coat. The chilly breeze surged over you, wakening your dazed state a bit. "This place is absolutely amazing." You breathed.

"Thank you," he chuckled, matching his footsteps with yours as you entered the house. "Make yourself comfy- I'll fetch some tea to settle your headache."

"Oh thanks," you redden a bit, "Mind if I take a shower?"

"Go right ahead. There are spare towels in the cupboards and there's some soap bars already in the shower."
