I woke up with a hangover

I woke up with a hangover. Expected. But nevertheless just as painful. A rush of memories hits me hard as I open my eyes. I blink away the foggy memories as I take in my horizontal view laying sideways across the leather couch I started on.

White powder litters the coffee table in front me alongside the solo cups and a whiskey bottle. I widen my eyes and quickly get up.

What the fuck did I do last night?

My eyes shut as yesterday comes back slowly.

I came back home. Dad was waiting. Our fight. God it was messy and it hurt. He really didn't care anymore. I drove the car he gave me. Isaac handed me a blunt. Everyone was pressuring but it didn't matter because I actually wanted to do it. To forget, to experience, to have fun.

Right.

Did I regret it? Maybe just a little. It was the first time in two weeks I had been to a full on drinking party with the sheer intention of getting drunk or high technically. It was the first time I did drugs! Then again, there's a first for everything, and I had changed. Enough to do crazy things now. And it wasn't so bad.

My headache pounded as a contradictory reply. Okay maybe adding alcohol was a bad idea. But everything was coming back to me, including what happened. My phone probably had evidence of it all.

Grabbing my phone from the table, I walked down the empty hallway in search of the bathroom I remembered faintly. All the doors look the same. Out of frustration and slight regret, I yank open the first one.

Despite the pounding headache, horrendous smell I was still getting use to and the obvious lack of coffee, I grinned. I slid my numb finger across the screen of my dying phone and snap a few pictures before lowering it.

I stare at the intertwined bodies sleeping in peace under the tangle of sheets. So peaceful. Too bad I gotta ruin it.

I walked forward, surprisingly steady, reaching the bedside table and grabbing the item laying on it. Pushing open the heavy curtains I turn back to the couple.

"Rise and shine lovebirds!" the amusement in my voice didn't waver. An unfamiliar groan replies and a dark skinned body moves.

"Camille?"

"Hi Nicholas. Nice to meet you. Sober I mean. I'm surprised you remember me." I look towards the other body lying on their chest. "Mind waking Isaac up?"

"Isaac?" realisation dawn upon his easy-going face as he scrambles to untangle himself. "Isaac. Oh shit. Fuck."

I laugh genuinely amused by this. "Fuck is right."

He looks at me with wide honey coloured eyes. "You didn't see this. You didn't see anything." Did he think I was blind? Because he sucked at hypnotism. Maybe he was still high. Maybe I was. Because all of this was hilarious.
