Because favours are priced...

"You have an insatiable desire for trouble Camille Sanders. You'll never just be satisfied. You're like me, too wild for the world."
I laugh at the outrageousness. "You're dramatic I'll give you that Michae...

Once the jet had landed, we were different people. If not the five of us together, then Michael and I alone.
The small chit chat was over as we descended the steps and got into our respective cars. Vivian bothered to wave good bye and Isaac walked away with his hand in the air as a bye to all of us. Rose lingered back with Michael to say their good byes and talk.
I didn't have a reason to linger so I walked off too. Albert waited for me in front of the black Range Rover I'd become familiar with.
"Hi Albert." Even though my mood was bleak at the realisation of our agreement's consequences, I was still feeling slightly relaxed and chirpy.
"Evening Miss Sanders," the 30 year old man replies in his usual formal tone. So I drop the conversation and fall back into the black leather seats, awaiting the ride back to the house.
Once I step inside, Martha taking my singular hand carry bag, I felt the tension and it dropped on to me like heavy bricks. Her eyes moved towards the direction of the office, "Your father."
"Right. He must be waiting to share the details of his honeymoon." Her eyes widen but she stifles a laugh when she realises my tone of forced humour. I use it as fuel and stalk my way to the office, throwing open the doors.
"You called?"
"Camille," he addresses me as I step in and sit down in front of him. "Your behaviour has been...irresponsible." He didn't raise his voice. In fact, it was calmly still, unwavering. But that's who he was. Now if he raged, screamed? That's when you knew everything was shit. "You've blown through your cash, and charged everything to my card, including you trip to Barbados with your friends."
"Thanks for that, we all loved Barbados."
"Let's not forget you crashed Belinda's car too."
"I thought you already knew that. Oh, wait, you had to believe that truthful wife of yours right? Because she practically commanded you. Wonder what made her pull that out to use on me now."
"I feel at this rate I cannot stop you almost." Almost.
"Glad we can agree on that."
"And you didn't stop," the emphasis didn't go unnoticed.
"I didn't feel like it."
"Well then I assume that means you accept the consequences of your reckless actions." I stare at him blinking. "You didn't think it was an empty threat did you?"
"You wouldn't."
"I already did," he continues smiling. "Right now, your mother is probably wondering where her daily income is. God knows she depends on it."
"You know she has a job now."
"She quit that teaching job actually." What? Is he keeping tabs on her? "Didn't talk to her recently did you? Probably for the better, she would be really ashamed of what you've done here Camille."
