Because favours are priced...

"You have an insatiable desire for trouble Camille Sanders. You'll never just be satisfied. You're like me, too wild for the world."
I laugh at the outrageousness. "You're dramatic I'll give you that Michae...

The next day, I don't hear the end of it. The post gets thousands of likes and is reposted a couple of times, the tag following Vivian like a haunting ghost. The comments rack up my notifications until I had to tune it off. It was great payback delivered.
Once I was satisfied with the internet's love for other people's lives, so I took it down after an argument with the bossy French girl. She could be an annoying handful when pissed off. Scott's got his work cut out for him.
"Ugh, did you not think of the damage it could cause me? This is going to ruin me. And my ambassadorships!" she cries out.
God, she was more distraught than my mother when grandma died. And that's saying something because grandma was her confidante. After that, she sunk hard into a deep hole, having to bottle her dark feelings. Until she found a new release. Me.
"It's just a harmless tag, I didn't say you were drinking. Eesh." But inside I was smiling. This is what you get for trying to use me and play me into Katrina Wallin's hands.
Have at it bitch.
"Now can you shut up; this headache isn't going to go away with your incessant worrying." I tell her and go to the washroom.
Unfortunately, the downside was she turned up to my room at the crack of dawn on a Sunday at that. But at least she bore good news with her from her mother.
The envelope she had sent through her daughter had more than just the confirmed good news of the second venue for the wedding going under construction because of a vandalism that had taken place. It had a cheque.
I groan inwardly and stash the entire envelope inside one of my bathroom drawers and finish washing my face. Vivian was still pouting, staring angrily at her phone, when I walked back out. But she noticed the envelope was no longer in my hands.
"So, what did my mother have for you?" I genuinely wondered if she hadn't opened the letter. But the stamp over it seemed unopened and perfectly intact. None of its contents could be seen easily either. Maybe Vivian did trust and respect her mother. Even though she wasn't trustful of me.
Does that give me a stamp of approval?
Looking at the girl's doe eyes scanning me, it did not. Smart.
"Good news." She knows then I would say no more on that matter. She might hate it but I had business to deal with above some dumb friendship I didn't really care for. Especially since it had been offered at some act of pretence I was still unknown to.
I still had no idea what to do with my recording of them. I could always save it for a rainy day, maybe when they're tactics become obvious and hard to avoid. Or I could expose them all, bringing down the ivory princess all together. But then I'd just be doing them a favour for no repayment at all.
I wasn't dumb to do that. I like to get paid even if in materialistic things. I like lucrative deals. Especially since people and relationships have proved themselves unworthy.
